Unified Wrestling Alliance

December 25th, 2009

It has been reported that Former WCW owner, Ted Turner has expressed high interest in beginning a new wrestling promotion. Ted Turner a huge wrestling fan, was the man with the thick wallet behind Eric Bischoff’s WWF-talent raid back in the mid-late 80’s which allowed WCW to become the #1 company in the world, surpassing Vince McMahon’s WWF/E.
Ted Turner as had representatives talk with many wrestling companies such as Ring Of Honor (ROH) and Total Non-Stop Wrestling Action (TNA) about purchasing a stake or the whole of the company. While there seems to be a slight interest from both parties although the main talk is that Ted Turner wants to start his own wrestling promotion from the ground up. At this point in time, there is a remarkable pool of free agents in the wrestling world. Booker T, Chuck Palumbo, Ken Kennedy (Mr. Kennedy), Kenny Dykstra, Petey Williams and plenty more. Among that Ted Turner has the money to hire anyone who is not currently under a contract. Signing some of these names would instantly increase credibility to his new company. It’s been stated by Turner representatives that he is aware all too well of what doomed WCW and will be making sure he takes the right steps to secure that a repeat of WCW fall will not happen, the removal of creative control over characters will be removed and Ted will be trying to remove the backstage politics, mission impossible many say.

January 3rd, 2010

Ted Turner has had representatives call dozens of people in a urge to find a suitable general manager, a general manager who is not scared to play around with the WWE and TNA, push the boundary to the extreme, do what has never been done before. A fan favourite, someone who the people love and behind the scenes knows what his doing. A Paul Heyman, A Eric Bischoff. A Ric Flair

Representative #1:
What? That’s the opposite to what you are trying to achieve.

Representative #2:
Mr. Turner, if you’re looking for someone revolutionary, Ric Flair is not the man, Paul Heyman brought in extreme, Eric Bischoff brought it the reality of wrestling. What is Ric Flair going to bring in, in all honesty sir, Ric has past his prime.

Ted Turner:
Please, I’ve worked with Ric Flair before in WCW and although his ideas were over powered by Eric Bischoff his ideas and storylines were something new, and that’s what we want not as hard core as ECW used to be and not so childish as the WWE currently is.

Representative #1:
I guess I’ll make the call Flipping through a phonebook as he comes to a stop at the ‘F’ section skimming down the page until finding ‘Richard Fiehr’, grabbing hold of the phone in the middle of the table as he smashes in the numbers before clicking loudspeaker for all to hear.

Ring Ring

Ric Flair:
Hello, Richard Fliehr speaking?

Ted Turner:
Hello, Ric, it’s Ted Turner here.

Ric Flair:
Ted, Ahh haven’t spoken in so long, how you going?

Ted Turner:
In all honesty, not to good. I’m sure you’ve heard that I’m interested in creating my own promotion and well I’ve just had no luck deciding on a General Manager, myself and my colleagues have been discussing for several days who would be a suitable General Manager and your name has come across very often and since it seems that you have the most experience we are inquiring if you would be interested in this position.

Ric Flair:
Ted, it’ll be an honour to work for you once again. I’ll get down to your office tomorrow ‘till then take care.

Beep

Ted Turner:
Now, that wasn’t so hard was it?

Representative #1:
I still believe it wasn’t the best idea sir.

Ted Turner:
Well what’s done is done, if worst comes to worst; we will just find a replacement, but you have to think. With Ric Flair comes a crowd of thousands and plenty of wrestlers get along with Ric Flair so many free agents will be more willing to come along.

January 4th, 2010

It’s been over 2hours Ric Flair, Ted Turner and Turner’s 2 Representatives have been in the boardroom as they discuss many flaws that WCW posed and how they should over-come the situation within the new promotion recently named, Unified Wrestling Alliance, UWA for short.

Ric Flair:
Creative Control is a big ‘NO’ for me, you saw how it ruined WCW and it defiantly wouldn’t be the brightest move to do in UWA.

Ted Turner:
My representatives and myself have spoken about creative control and also have decided against it as in the past it has drawn very big problems.

Ric Flair:
Good, before we go on, I just want you to know that before I came down I did research on why WCW failed and here is what I found from it. Overspending in WCW was a big factor as we were wasting more and more money on hiring celebrities for Pay Per Views, that the actual Pay Per View itself, WCW also did not pay attention to its young up and coming stars, we had plenty of new up comers that would of stuck around if things turned out different but because we focused on our old experienced ‘already made’ guys once they got stale we had no one to fall back on.

The room is quite as Ted Turner processes what is stated by Ric Flair

Ted Turner:
Richard, in all honesty I pretty much know nothing in the wrestling business, I’m just a big fan, like with WCW I gave control to Eric Bischoff and just managed the finance. Although this time round I’d like to pay more attention to what happens and totally agree with the overspending, like I said knowing nothing you invest into isn’t or wasn’t the brightest of ideas and this time round I plan on focusing and learning more about the business.

Representative #2:
Ric, it’s already settled that you will be the General Manager and so far I totally agree with what you have said, myself and Mr. Turner have spoken about the free agents currently open and who we think would be good to start a promotion off. Of course with the power Ted possesses we do have the power to employ a few Indy wrestlers who currently have a contract although getting hold of a TNA or WWE superstar is a lot harder and will take a lot of time. So with that here is a list of available stars.

Handing over the list to Ric Flair who so far seems impressed with how Ted has decided to be more involved with his new federation unlike WCW.

Ric Flair:
(Skimming over the list)...hmm there’s defiantly a few names who I would hire on here...(flipping the page over)...and there is defiantly some names I would not hire. Over the next week or 2 I’ll look around at the Indies and see if I can recruit any names.

Representatives #1:
Indy? Ric sorry to say every Indy guy I have seen can’t wrestle

Ric Flair:
(slightly smirking) and exactly how many Indy shows have you seen to come to that conclusion? One maybe two? There is a-hell-of-a-lot of talent in the Indy circuit re-do their gimmick and done, we could have a future main eventer.

Ted Turner:
Alright, Richard, I’ll leave the scouting and hiring to you. I’ll get one of my representatives to e-mail you a budget. Good Luck and be sure to keep in touch.

Ric and Ted shake hands as he acknowledges Ted’s representatives with a nod before walking out the room.

This is certainly intriguing. Always good to see more created threads pop up so I hope it goes well for you. I'll definitely be following.

Ric Flair is a good choice for your General Manager, but I think you could've picked a better term than "General Manager" because that is very much a WWE type term and you should be wanting to get away from that stigma.

Good luck mate.

Week One Of Ric Flair’s Hiring
Scouting
January 5th – 11th

Wrestling World.com said:
It has been reported the Ric Flair has been seen backstage at many Indy shows, reportedly talking to talent, although names have not been named. It has been rumoured that Ric Flair is planning on making a return to the wrestling business by making his own wrestling promotion, not much is known if this is true as Ric Flair as made no public statement about it, and in fact Ric Flair as completely avoided the media.

Week Two Of Ric Flair’s Hiring
UWA Roster
January 12th - 19th

WrestlingWorld.com said:
It’s been settled Ric Flair has officially been in contact with many Indy wrestlers, at this current time we are unable to name names although word around the Indy locker rooms is that a new federation is beginning, a federation that will be able to challenge the WWE. If this is true does Vince McMahon have something to worry about? And could this be the follow up to Ted Turner’s announcement in beginning a new promotion mentioned a few weeks ago?
Ric Flair, Ted Turner and his two representatives are all once again seated in Ted’s boardroom.

Ted Turner: Richard, how did the scouting go?

Ric Flair: Well, I went to the following promotions; Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling, Dragon Gate USA, Ohio Valley Wrestling, Ring of Honor and Full Impact Pro. I spoke to the majority of wrestlers on each promotion although few did not show any interest a few were happy to jump on board. I also went through the free agents and got hold of talent that will defiantly boost UWA reputation before we even start.

Ted Turner: Very well, do you have a list of all hired wrestlers?

Ric Flair: Yes...(handing over a folder)...that contains details of over 20 wrestlers who have already signed and have agreed to join and I’m still waiting on a reply from a few others.

Ted Turner:
(seeming happy with the roster)...so did the budget accommodate your needs? Or do we need to increase?

Ric Flair: Ted, everything is fine, in fact we are well and truly below budget. Our first show whenever that may be will be truly a big hit.

Representative #1:
What do you have in plan?

Ric Flair: Ted, The plan is like WCW's plan was to keep the audience coming back

Ted Turner:
(handing over the folder with contracts over to his representatives)...Hmm sounds good, well good luck planning the first show, we will talk tomorrow about when our first show is scheduled.

This looks like an intruiging project, seeing Turner and Flair working together is interesting, Ted's not normally someone who people pick as a Chairman or important authority figure in created threads nowadays, so I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Best of luck.

Ted Turner: Richard, welcome back

Ric Flair heads towards his usual spot as the head (or ass) end of the table whichever way you look at it from.

Ric Flair: Alright, well everything is nearly ready, all we need is the dates of our shows, commentators and I gotta’ discuss a few things that will hopefully make the show a lot more enjoyable for the audience.

Ted Turner: We are still waiting an email from TBS, we know they will say yes we are just currently waiting on what timeslot/day they will put us on, I have told them we'd prefer Tuesday or Wednesday. Now for the commentators were going to need someone who knows what we are looking for, the image that we are working towards, someone we can read and comprehend a story that a match is saying.

Ric Flair: (stunned at what Ted just said) Whoa. Someone has been reading up on their owning a wrestling promotion skills, haha, that is exactly what we need and I know just the guy...a good pal of mine, Mean Gene Okerlund.

Ted Turner: Isn’t Gene someone who does interviews?

Ric Flair: yes, but we can have him do both. I have already spoken to him and we can easily position the broadcasting table close to the entrance so he won’t have to walk so far to do interviews.

Ted Turner: Sounds good, give him a call.

Ring Ring

‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund: Hello, Eugene Okerlund here.

Ted Turner: Hello, Eugene, it’s Ted Turner and Richard Fliehr here, I believe Richard has already spoken to you about our new promotion.

‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund:
Actually he has and if the position still stands, I would be glad to become part of it.

Ted Turner: Excellent, please come down to Turner Broadcasting System Inc. Main office, Richard and myself will be waiting.

Beep

The door swings wide open as one of Ted’s representatives comes rushing in with a huge smile planted across his face.

Representative #2: Mr. Turner, sorry for interrupting, but we have just received an email from TBS confirming our show and giving us scheduled dates.

Ted Turner: (reading off the printed version of the email)...So Wednesday the 27th at 7:30pm is our first show from then on its every Wednesday after that so that gives us exactly 1 week before our first show.

Ric Flair and Ted Turner discuss things for the next hour from current talent, current backstage staff, the hopeful future of the promotion and how they will break it to the media.

Knock
Knock

Ted Turner: Come in?

‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund: (swinging the door open)...Alright so I’m here.

Ted Turner:
Good to see you could make it Eugene, we have just discussed our current focus we plan to achieve, just like WCW, we want everything to pretty much be real, no cartoony gimmicks, no cartoony storylines everything is real.

Richard Flair: We want to focus on our strengths and our current roster has a lot of ‘death-defying’ guys who pretty much will do anything for a pay check. Although our primary focus will be the ‘high-spots’ I don’t want to overflow it with ‘em. I want our wrestlers to build up to the high-spot, our wrestlers are mainly ‘high-flyers’ so like, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy etc.. They are able to perform backflips and all other sorts of flips which we can use to our advantage.

‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund: Okay, I understand, you want the wrestlers to use the technical work to build up to a ‘high-spot’ and take advantage of it.

Ted Turner:
Precisely, So we need you as the commentator to hype this spots up, as commentator you will control the audience at home with what is said. Not sure if you over-heard, but our first show is exactly a week away.

After 2-3hours of discussing how the first show is going to run, organising the arena, pyros, hotel rooms all the essentials and more Ric Flair and ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund leave. Everyone in the room left with a smile, happy about what has been said and what will be done.

Ted & Flair
It’s confirmed, Ted Turner and Ric Flair are working arm in arm in creating a new wrestling promotion to overpower the McMahon Kingdom. Ted Turner and Ric Flair are both very quiet and have denied answering any questions each man stating ‘Tune in Wednesday Night on TBS at 7:30pm to see what we have install’. Not much can be said about the roster, as no one has any idea on who Ric and Ted have hired. That’s it for today folks, we will have a recap posted Wednesday after the show for all who missed it.

Alright, first show will be up in the next couple of days then after the show I'll post the roster n staff and all the general stuff that is usually in an opening post

January 27th
UWA First Show
Florida; Daytona Beach – Ocean Centre

Unified Wrestling Alliance is live...

No opening video package
No opening theme song
No opening pyros

All we see is our favourite, good ole’ nature boy himself, Ric Flair alongside the man who made it possible, the man who made Monday Night War’s possible, the man with the money, Ted Turner. The crowd of 8500 are all un-sure how to react, what to expect as the 2 owners are quietly standing in the centre of the ring. Every so often a loud ‘woooo’ will be yelled out by the crowd as still no word is said by the 2 men. “Ladies and gentlemen, please prepare for a new revolution, the start of something new. Were here to make an Impact, make a legend that even the legend killer can’t kill. Prepare for the Unified Wrestling Alliance~!” Pronounced Ted Turner. Ric Flair then took over as he makes mention of the “talent” although being sure not to mention names, Ric Flair states that “Tonight is not only the night that Unified Wrestling Alliance begins, but it’s the night a revolution will take over. Just like WCW did back in the day, the only difference is that we’re not going to fold. We did our homework, research...we learnt from our mistakes back in WCW and now things are going to be different.” The fans begin to scream out loud as they are all in anticipation for UWA to kick off with the first match.

“Hold on, Hold on...we haven’t finished yet. We have to introduce our commentator from here on in. His mean but not green ladies and gentlemen, ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund” The crowd go absolutely berserk as they realise UWA has now got 2 WWE Hall of Famers on the creative team. Walking out with the biggest smile on his face comes ‘Mean’ Gene strutting his stuff as he heads towards the ring. "Ted, Richard, it feels good –feels good to be back in the ring.” The crowd now pumped up, Ric Flair lets them in on the opening match between Cheech & Cloudy vs. Ken Kennedy & Ken Doane ~ Kenny Dykstra.

Match One ~ Cheech & Cloudy (Up in Smoke) vs. Ken Kennedy & Ken Doane ~ Kenny Dykstra

A ‘veteran’ Ken Kennedy training up a young-upcoming star Ken Doane (just like Jackie Chan training Jayden Smith in that new Karate Kid movie coming out). Cloudy and ‘The Veteran’ Ken Kennedy start of the match with ‘The Veteran’ shining through early using his brute power and force throwing Cloudy around the ring being sure to keep him as far away as possible from his corner. Ken Kennedy tags in Doane as he gives his instructions to which Ken Doane executes, whipping Cloudy into the ropes, clothesline, elbow drop then a few stomps keeping his opponent grounded. Ken Doane looks over to Ken Kennedy as in how did he do? ‘The Veteran’ Ken Kennedy nods his head as if his slightly impressed. Doane flinging Cloudy into the turnbuckle and then distracting the referee as Ken Kennedy does the dirty work with strikes to the back of the head.

Doane waits for Ken Kennedy to stop before stopping the distraction and continuing the beat down. Ken Kennedy yelling out “That’s My Boy” encouraging Doane as he continues the onslaught, Ken Doane throws Cloudy across the ring as his able to catch the rope to avoid bouncing back into what even Ken Doane has set up for. Cloudy stumbles across the ropes as he makes the tag, Cheech comes running in bowling down Ken Doane with a strong shoulder block. Doane races to his feet as Cheech rebounds off the ropes running from behind, bulldog.

Cheech making the comeback for Up In Smoke as Ken Doane tries his hardest to make the tag to his ‘teacher’. Cheech using his unorthodox moves to keep Ken Doane constantly down and dazed as Cheech jumps up to the turnbuckle ‘The Veteran’ Ken Kennedy fakes running towards him which causes Cheech to lose concentration of Doane with Cheech distracted Doane rushes up to the top rope shocking Cheech with a series of punches to the midsection as he lifts him up and throws him over his shoulder, SUPERPELX and it’s all over Doane pinning for the win.

Outcome: ‘The Veteran’ Ken Kennedy & Ken Doane

Commercial

UWA returns live backstage where we see ‘The Veteran’ Ken Kennedy walking along his side is Ken Doane. The veteran is explaining to him the ‘fundamentals’ of wrestling “Never forget, to go far in this business you need to do everything to win. Just like in our match just then, if I didn’t distract Cheech what do you think woulda’ happened? Yes he would most likely have pinned you, so it’s the little things that will all add up. Remember, kid, as long as your with me you’ll go far in this business” The screen fades as the two continue walking down the hall.

We cut to the commentator table were ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund official walks us back and recaps the match the just passed between Up In Smoke and Ken Kennedy & Ken Doane.

Match Two ~ Tim Donst vs. Super Crazy

Tim Donst out in his amateur wrestling gear (tights & helmet) as he uses his speed, strength and skills to keep Super Crazy grounded, the power of Tim Donst shines through as he uses his amateur wrestling background with takedowns and slams often going for the pin although Super Crazy has been able to kick out. Eventual after several pin attempts Tim gets mad arguing with the referee. Tim turned around to face Super Crazy whom is now charging at him, Tim sidestepping as Super Crazy takes out the referee. Tim Donst is fast to react to the downed referee situation as he pulls up Super Crazy whipping him into the turnbuckle following up with a very brute and powerful clothesline.

Tim Donst shoulder thrusting Super Crazy as the crowd counts along 1..2..3.......8..9..10..11 the referee finally gets up as Tim Donst stops. Crazy dropping to his knees Tim Donst comes running in with aggression as he leaps into the air, dropkick. Sending Crazy through the middle and lower ropes onto the mats surrounding the ring Tim Donst quickly sliding out and attacking Crazy, throwing him into the steel steps before throwing him back in the ring.

Tim Donst stalks Super Crazy who is slowly making his way to his feet but once he does Tim pounces, Donstitution (Bridging Olympic Slam) following with a pin picking up the much wanted win.

Outcome: Tim Donst

UWA returns with Petey Williams standing in the centre of the ring directly in front of him are a table covered with cloth on top of that is a black suitcase. “Now at the beginning of this show Ric and Ted spoke about a bunch of bullshit about a revolution is coming...blah blah blah, but they failed to inform us on one important little BIG detail. So I being the best of the best on this roster took it into my own hands like any good employee would do.” Petey continues rambling on about how he is the best draw heat from the crowd before he begins to make mention of the suitcase. “In front of me is a suitcase. In this suitcase is what Ric and Ted forgot to make mention of, it is of high value, high prestige” clicking the suitcase open placing his hand inside staring down towards whatever is in it as a very big smirk glazes across his face. Petey shuts the case as he calls Gene into the ring and whispers something in his ear. “Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for your first ever Unified Wrestling Alliance Champion...Petey Wil~” before Gene could finish Booker T’s music plays as Booker rushes out. “Hold it there DAWG! Where do ya think you get the power to crown yourself UWA’s first champion, you must of forgotten I’m the 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time WCW Champion.” Booker T approaches the table where the suitcase containing the UWA championship belt as he places his hand on it “so dawg lemme’ tell ya what’s about to go down, you’re gonna’ get outta this ring and allow me, sucka, to crown myself the first UWA Champion”

Before Petey or Gene Okerlund could say anything Ric Flair appears on the stages rushing down the ramp sliding in the ring. “Hold on, none of you two hold the right to crown yourselves the champion in fact if I remember properly the commissioner is ‘The Nature Boy’, Ric Flair, and ohh guess what that’s me.” Ric Flair paces up and down as he continues to go own about the title before stopping and turning to the crowd “I just got an idea, do you guys want to see Petey Williams and the 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time WCW Champion, Booker T, face each other tonight for the UWA championship” The crowd erupts as Booker T and Petey Williams nod as the crowd gets louder and louder “Well then you guys got it. Tonight’s main event will be Booker T vs. Petey Williams” Ric Flair drops the microphone as he grabs the suitcase off the table and heads backstage. Leaving both Booker T and Petey Williams facing off in the ring as a smirk appears across Booker’s face as he exits the ring.

Commercial

“Ladies and gentlemen, what a night we have had so far and to top things off we will be crowning our very first champion in tonight’s main event” Gene said as he hypes up the main event.

Match Three ~ Brian Kendrick vs. Paul London

It’s been a LONG while since these two men have wrestled with or against each other but the chemistry stays both men continually anticipating each other’s moves constantly reversing, counting and dodge moves that many wouldn’t have been able to do. Guess it goes to show, you’ll always remember your best friends even if they do ditch you on your ass. Brian Kendrick getting frustrated with the constant blocks and counters as his true colours start to shine, using anything in his power to win, low blows and eye pokes.

In what seems to be a reach for desperation Paul London delivers a series of strikes which were able to stun Kendrick for seconds, which is just enough time, as London runs off the ropes, crossbody, attempting a pin only to get a 2 count. London rushes up as he stomps Kendrick over and over again, “I think London has snapped” are the words the come out of Gene Okerlund’s mouth as Paul London viciously attack Brian Kendrick who is helplessly trying to escape the ring.

Paul London pulls Brian Kendrick up to his feet as he bounces him off the ropes, clothesline, Kendrick hits the ground hard as Paul London climbs the turnbuckle taking his time before he leaps off preforming a 450 splash which then leads to a pinfall picking up the win.

Outcome: Paul London

Paul London really has snapped as his rampage continues his beat down, blow after blow; as Brian Kendrick struggles to get out as staff finally gets down to help him out. Paul London is held down by several ‘large’ men as some referee’s help Brian Kendrick up the stage.

Commercial

“Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for UWA to crown our very first champion” Gene states as Booker T begins walks out. Gene continues on saying that we are all witnessing history.

“I come out here to give Petey a chance, now dawg, to make things easier well all know, we all know that in our match next, the 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time WCW Champion, BOOKER~! TEE~! Will walk out UWA’s first champion...now dawg I’m givin ya this opportunity, the opportunity to save yourself Pete, I know ya just some wannabe-badass but dawg listen here, you aint nothing compared to me” Booker T pauses as the crowd chant “5 time” 5 times before Booker continues. “So here is ya opportunity dawg when our match starts stay in da back, just let me win by default. It’s saves us all some time.”

Mainevent ~ Booker T vs. Petey Williams
UWA CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Even though Booker T gave him the ‘opportunity’ Petey Williams wasn’t going to miss out, Pete came out hands blazing as Booker T goes defensive, take one, give one, as they trade blows for a while. Booker T showing his brute strength as he lifts Pete up and slams him down, Booker T begins show boating and the crowd eats it up. With the crowd completely behind Booker T, he gains control of the match. Whipping him from side to side, knocking him down then picking him back up only to be thrown back down. Booker loves the attention he getting from the crowd showboating at any given time, Pete is kneeling down as Booker T storms towards him only to be dropped with a low blow. Drawing heat Petey Williams stands up dragging Booker T with him as he grabs hold of his hair and throws him over the top rope.

Constantly sliding in and out to restart the referee’s 10 count Petey Williams throws Booker T into the commentator table, into the steel steps as well as into the ring post. Petey finally slides in and stays in with his hands raised in the air thinking there is no way Booker will be able to get up and in before the 10 count. Petey turns his back to where Booker is as Booker slides in at the call of 8 with a sudden burst Booker T takes Petey down with a bulldog. Booker now back in control lifts up Petey, Body Slam which is followed by a leg drop as Booker T revs up the crowd as he turns back around to see Petey fleeing to the outside.

That wasn’t going to stop Booker T as he follows Petey running around the ring as Booker T cuts through the ring, bouncing off the ropes, suicide dive. Landing directly on top of Petey the crowd goes crazy, Booker slowly stands up as he gets in the ring only to roll out again, which causes the ref once again to restart the 10 count. Booker T lifts Petey up as he whips him into the barricade, nearly flipping over Booker follows up with a clothesline. After series of kicks a Booker heads back towards the ring now officially knowing Petey won’t be able to make it back in the ring. Booker is only steps away from the ring and seconds away from winning when Petey gets his second wind charging towards Booker knocking him into the ring apron as he falls to the ground the bell rings the ref made it to 10 before either one could get back in the ring.

Outcome: No Contest, UWA Championship still VACANT~!

Booker T and Petey Williams don’t look happy as Petey stands is now standing in the ring still in shock that he didn’t make it in time, Booker out on the mat punches the ground before standing up as both Petey and Booker stare each other down as UWA’s first show goes off air.

Good start. I LOVE it being at the Ocean Center. A lot of wrestling history in that building and on a personal note a place I've been to a house show or two at so I could really visualize the scene.

I like that you are using Kennedy under a different gimmick, something TNA should have done. The thought of him being a vetran pisses me off and gives me instant heat toward him which I'm sure is exactly what you wanted. Plus he is cocky enough to pull that off perfectly.

Good idea having the main event end in a no contest. Should build the fued nicely. Petey is an interesting choice for the world title scene right away but it seems to work out okay.

The only two things I have negative to say about it is number one, no way in hell Mean By God Gene would call The Nature Boy Ric Flair "Richard" in front of an audience or probably EVER. Number two I'd like to see the interviews completed instead of just getting bits and pieces. It's a little touch that I think would make it much better.

Overall I'm impressed and look forward to reading more. This BTB has a ton of potential.

Thanks for the comments guys

Number two I'd like to see the interviews completed instead of just getting bits and pieces. It's a little touch that I think would make it much better.
I'm writing in recap because with school starting up I wont be able to write shows out in full and I really enjoy writing in recap which means I'll probablly be able to keep this BTB going.

Anyways, Roster information and all the other general stuff will be posted soon
