UFC and the Fox Network have struck a blockbuster 90 million dollar a year deal for UFC to leave Spike TV and take its programing to the Fox channels. This move will leave TNA Wrestling as the only major programming on Spike TV. Some see that as a benefit to the company but there are rumors circulating that Spike TV may rebrand there network all together. A TNA Wrestling without a weekly tv show could be a horrible blow to the company.

TNA Wrestling has released a statement stating that there contract is secure with Spike TV through the end of 2011 and that they look forward to working out a deal to keep them on Spike TV. However several other internet sources are still reporting that Spike TV is going to change directions. Rumor has them changing directions completely and going to a women's network. We here at TNA Wrestling regret to announce that we were not able to rework a deal with Spike TV to continue to carry our programing past 12-31-2011. We will work as hard as possible to find a new home for our professional wrestling programming but as of now we have no solid leads. We thank you for your support of TNA and hope you will continue to watch our programming through the end of the year on Spike TV.
Sincerely,
Dixie Carter

We at TNA Wrestling regret to inform our fans that as of 12-31-2011 we will no longer be in business. Due to loosing our tv deal with Spike TV we no longer have a way to bring our weekly tv shows into your homes. We are still working to bring together a midnight deal to keep us on television but at this time the chances of that look slim to none.

BLOCKBUSTER announcement from TNA! They are going out of business?? Once again WWE and the McMahon empire will rule the wrestling world! While today's announcement left out many key details from what we have been told all wrestlers will be released from there contracts at the end of the year and will be free to work wherever they want. One would assume 50-75 percent of the TNA roster will be unemployed or in the independents again. Today is truly a sad day for professional wrestling! Stay tuned for more details!

Dana White: “Yeah good to see you too Brock, now what the hell is it I just had to come talk to you and Paul about?”

Paul Heyman: “Your right your not, your twice the business man Vince is! That's why you are gonna pull some strings with Fox and get us a time slot. Leave me and Brock in charge, we will cross promote, grow UFC even bigger than it already is, and we will make a nice living while we are at it. All we need is a couple hundread blank checks to get us started.”
Brock Lesnar: “Plus look at it this way, it will give the old guys a place to continue there career after they can't fight any more.”
Dana White: “You guys are crazy, Im leaving.”
Brock Lesnar: “Come on brother, have I ever let you down before? And besides, I know your tired of Zuffa making all the money, we build this company in mine and Heyman's name, away from Zuffa, you'll be the silent partner, but making plenty of money!”
Dana White: “Damn you Lesnar, I'll talk to Fox, but no promises.”
Paul Heyman: “We'd like to start our show right at the first of the year.”
Dana White: “I will see what I can do.”
Brock Lesnar: “Your the man! Thank's brother.”
Dana White: “Yeah, yeah, yeah. You owe me you s.o.b.”
Dana White gets up to leave the bar.
Paul Heyman: “Uh, Dana! Aren't you forgetting something?”
Dana White slams down what appears to be a check book on the table as he walks out the door.

Blockbuster news coming out today. Sources say that UFC President Dana White has met with Fox executives about the possibilites of hosting a professional wrestling program on Thursday nights. We've also heard several reports that Paul Heyman and get this, Brock Lesnar have been in contact with various talent including several members of TNA Wrestling. Could a new promotion be on the horizon? It certainly seems that way. A promotion with the financial backing of Dana White and possibly UFC's parent company Zuffa could have a huge impact. It seems that there money flow could possibly be at a level that hasn't been in the professional wrestling business since Ted Turner left. Stay tuned to 4wrestling.com for updates as they happen!
