If that was a boom, the bar is pretty low. Closer to the 2005-2007 mini boom than anything and even that's being generous.
isn’t this period (2022-present) essentially the biggest since the attitude era? I’m not trolling I legit think I’ve read that. Is it that the gate info is skewed? How come it isn’t?

They draw 1.3ish million people on Smackdown and under 3 million globally on Raw. 15 years ago Raw had double the audience in America than they do globally today. Smackdown is watched by about as many people as Heat and Velocity were 20 years ago. WWE has never been less popular or relevant. But they make a ton of money because of the TV and media rights deals of this era and because they're taking advantage of mentally ill hardcores who are spending their life savings and maxing out credit cards to go to these shows.

Is it over? The business is still running hot. Nielsen ratings are down but let's be frank, anyone who still uses cable ratings as evidence is about 5-10 years behind the times, there's a large contingent of fans that watch exclusively through highlights (myself included sometimes) and social media.

There was never a boom period. The "boom" we were seeing was just basic inflation. And serious question, is this a troll topic? I mean, what's changed? The WWE continues to do the record profits that made people call the Roman era a "boom".
Attendance surged in 2023 and 2024 to near Attitude Era levels. The company is still riding the backside of the wave of that.

I hate John Cena but I’m not going to place any blame on him for this year’s shitshow.
Yup, that's probably about as fair as it gets. There is a great.. GREAT many things to blame the corporate robot for, but yeah, this probably isn't one of them.

as far as i can see the boom is because a. live attendance is much better (plus tickets way more expensive) b. khan is excellent at getting these tv deals done . the viewership numbers don't seem to be as crucial.
