At this point, no. The rest of the roster is getting smaller, which pigeon-holes him into the Andre the Giant role. It can be argued that Braun does not need the belt, and if he is the champion how do you realistically beat him?

Braun very much needs the belt as his repeated failure to get it has made him look like a complete chump. And unlike Andre, Braun has eaten a ton of Televised loses. As for realistically beating him, attack his legs and the try to choke him out any time he's brought down, ultimately trying to out last rather than over power him.

Man; I hope so and they give him like an All American hogan type gimmick. That shit would be so fucking over. That really came to me when he came out for the Andre and ripped his shirt off hogan style, I was like dang man this guy could be so money.

The crowd popped for a guy calling himself blue collar on Smackdown. if Braun was one of those American Patriot Blue Collar cheeseball sorts I think he'd be really over. Just watch stuff like that, like I dunno, Duck Dynasty or something.

Braun with Heavy Machinery would be over as fuck in a blue collar babyface stable. Luke Harper could be in it too with the Big Rig Brodie character.

This type of question I could expect maybe even 15 years ago, but look who has been champs the past decade.

Point is, it's not some unachievable goal to be champion in WWE, more likely a joke at this point. They don't care who is champ, so neither should the viewer. Wins don't matter they say, so why should belts (oh, I forgot, I'm not looking directly at a fucking belt, it's an invisible title, my mistake!) matter?

That being said, if who is champ right now can be, he can.

I truly believe that if they had put the strap on Braun near the end of his first feud with Roman Reigns, parleyed that into a Wrestlemania match with Lesnar when he was the hottest guy in the company this company would be in a much better place

He had better, he should have had it already though. I love Braun and he was extremely over, they fucked up big time, they could fix him but I doubt they will.

I think there is something going on with braun, youve got to question the call to remove him from the championship match at the rumble. Hes caused problems within matches and cut that dreadful promo at the time when he forgot his lines. Then there is the rumours of him having knee problems.

I wouldnt be surprised if the likes of brock just didnt want to work with him and then there was the problems during the match at mania, maybe wwe just dont want to try and improve someone who might not have a long shelf life.

If Kofi and Jinder can win it, then anybody can win it now. Braun will almost definitely win it sometime in the future. They have a big guy wrestler who can be a modern day Undertaker. Obviously not as good as Undertaker but there's not many big men to choose from now.

I'm not sure, they didn't pull the trigger at his peak but if Braun does eventually win one of the titles nobody will really care that much.

I used to think he deserved it but now I already no how annoying he would be getting too much tv time so that's a big NO THANKS.

 

It may be over for Braun, in achieving a belt. The best may be over for him. I may be wrong. But I imagine that's all she wrote Braun.

The year he was white hot and arguably the most over person on the roster was the time you should have called an audible, told Brock to go fuck himself, and put the strap on him. Even if it was a transitional reign and it doesn't make it to Mania or even the Rumble, you do it anyways.

Brock, however, retained twice and afterward made him look like a dumb GEEK in every encounter. His stock and momentum died after that and became nonexistent when you foolishly turned him heel to prop up another GODDAMN Shield reunion no one asked for.

He'll win the belt down the line but it doesn't matter. It won't mean as much as it would have back then. He's a mid card geek, now. A victim of the system like those before him and surely after him.

Same thing happened to Ryback. WWE failed to pull the trigger on him when he was white hot, then he cooled off until he was ultimately released. Granted, WWE already had plans in place for Rock/Punk -> Rock/Cena II.

Vince often stays on course towards his endgame storyline no matter what happens in between time. Surprisingly, this year Vince actually went with the fans who were hot for Kofi and Becky over his original plans. We cannot say the same for Braun because Vince wanted a Brock/Roman main event; everyone else be damned!

Only time will tell if Braun ever gets a shot at the mountaintop, or if he will just play the monster sometimes comedic side character until his contract ends. Braun was never more over than when he feuded with Roman. That program did wonders to raise his stock. Vince just didn't cash-in on the investment. Quite frankly, the Roman feud may have been the only time I was even interested in Braun in the main event. Braun's feud with Brock didn't do much for me outside of Braun's domination in that SummerSlam 4-Way match.
