The line "God, it's me! Mr. McMahon!" is one of the greatest in the history of professional wrestling and/or sports entertainment. Could have done without the entire rest of their feud, but this is classic ruthless aggression bullshit trying way, way too hard to recapture the glory days.

If that whole angle proved one thing, it's that Vince truly has no lines that he will not cross. You have to wonder if he just knows instinctively he stands zero chance in hell, or otherwise of ever making it to the pearly gates. He may as well have his little laughs while he's still kicking.

The peak of his feud with Shawn came at WM 22. The feud from then on served no other purpose but to eat up TV time in the main event, even though I did enjoy the HIAC match to close out the feud at long last. It's just if Shawn delivering one of the most brutal and bloody of ass kickings at WM wasn't enough to do Vince in, including elbow dropping him off a massive ladder through a fucking TABLE wasn't enough for Vince to call it quits, what in the hell could possibly do the trick?
