Re: Kevin Owens´ weight

This thread really goes to show that the show has become too kid friendly. I remember back in the day the Rock called Rikishi a "thong wearing fatty" and everyone laughed. Orton asks Kevin Owens if he gained weight and people are insinuating that it's offensive lol. At some point people need to realize they are watching wrestling.

Owens doesnt even begin to tip the scale on fat wrestlers. He's hardly fat. I'm curious as to how many pounds they consider him overweight. Whatever extra weight he is carrying surely hasnt restricted his movement
You're joking right?

Dude has to wrestle in a shirt, gym shorts down to his knees and black leggings.

Dude has nasty stretch marks under his armpits and his gut is so big he probably can't see his dick.

How is that not fat?

Bo Dallas is an out of shape adult male, Kevin Owens is FAT.

Dude looks like Buzz from Home Alone.

Just out of curiosity, if a wrestler is obviously overweight, why wouldn't another wrestler shoot on him like that?

I mean, this is fucking wrestling. People talk shit to each other and fake violence.

Should they not mention if someone is skinny, or short, or balding, or old?

Owens is a grown ass man. If he doesn't want to be fucked with for being fat then get your ass in the gym and do something about it.

^^^ I do agree that we need more edginess. Guys like Rock and Austin would never be able to use their characters in the era and therefore would never have gotten over.

LOL @ not hurt your opponents marketability :lmao

That sure worked when X-Pac came out in blackface & a pillow under his belly to mock Mark Henry right?

The shit I'm seeing just to defend Owens because he's a good wrestler & we shouldn't dare point out him being a fatass is completely laughable. Where was this circus when Cesaro mocked him for being fat? Oh wait the forum loves him so we're not gonna remember that happening.

Basically. Shit is so terrible :StephenA6

Jesus Christ man, are you incapable of debating with someone without such a vulgar and spiteful display? Intellectual cowardice? I'm including my comment in the quote so everybody can see how ill fitting that is to describe my response.

I shouldn't even give you the time of day after that, in fact I won't - I'll leave you to tell yourself "Aha! He must be unable to form a rebuttal". I'll just point out that I did not say it never occurred in the Attitude Era, I do not consider the late 90s "old school" and this should be evident by me referencing fueding with Dusty Rhodes and old timers, which did not happen during the AE

Really though, how dare you talk to me like absolute dirt? You asked if you're a prophet and I said you're misguided - this is what prompted that foul diatribe? And you think I owe you an apology? I should report you for such a vile hostile response. Find someone else to take your anger out on, I'm here to discuss wrestling. Oh and it helps to write less than the other person if you're going to call theirs a "word wall". Nasty piece of work.
I would invite you to report me for my response to your poorly worded & paper thin attempts at a defense. Especially since I didn't violate a single rule or tenant of the section, so unless there's a rule against being smug in response to an inferior post you're ass outta luck. That's what happens when you target the reply instead of the individual posting it.

This exchange was illuminating when highlighting the temperament of the offended. :denzel2

I mean calling a dude fat is all well and good in a promo but to have the other guy stand their and go "No" is stupid. If Owens had come back with some kind of rebuttal, it would have been a lot better and not left Owens looking like a chump. If Owens had said something like "No, I actually started going to the gym with my wife. Do you go to the gym with your wi... oh never mind" or something. (Orton got divorced from his wife, hence the joke). Saying "No" is like a playground comeback. He may as well have just said "Nuh uh, you're fat." Complaining because Owens got called fat is dumb, we all know he's fat. Doesn't mean he isn't in great shape, a great promo cutter and one of the best workers on the roster. And where was all the hate for Cesaro when he pointed out Owens was fat?

I love how WWE is so sensitive to poking fun at anything gender-based or sexual orientation-based, but it's completely okay to make fun of someone for being overweight. Fat shaming is a GREAT message to send to children, who you claim are your primary target.

I'd love to see twitter start a trend with @WWE #StoptheFatShaming

It's juvenile, it's hurtful to many kids, and it's something that's always bothered me about WWE. When they did that to Mickie James (who, mind you, is FAR from fat) I was appalled and reacted by not watching the product for a good while.

Your joking right? They still call women divas, have girls pulling each other's hairs in short skirts .... And don't get me started on the 1950s dancing black man racist ridiculousness of the new day. Wwe is walking shit hole of bad adverts for feminism, racism and bigotry ... And the centre of if is McMahon and Dunn fucking shameful.

I don't think Kevin Owens actually cares, and he probably already knew that Orton was going to say it before the promo.

You guys know Rikishi existed right?

Go to the gym you fat fuck
Being overweight isn't part of a gimmick, it's not some sort of Everyman angle ala mick foley
It's pure laziness. Wrestling is fake as shit by it has to look real, to have a sheen
Having someone come out looking like a cos play character doesn't help this
You won't get in shape? Your choice. But then you have to take the shots that will come your way in the wrestling business.

WWE making fun of someone's weight isn't anything new, but I take exception to it in this case because this is happening at the same time Bray Wyatt is on the roster and he's really not in any better shape than owens, wrestles in street clothes too and is more limited in the ring, yet they won't dare make fat jokes at Bray's expense because he's a 2nd generation 'WWE guy'.

They also just eulogized Dusty Rhodes framing him as a hero among men, and he was probably never below 30% body fat in his entire career.. not to mention all the other wrestlers from other eras who never looked like bodybuilders. WWE is 100% pure politics as usual, if you're in good with the bookers or related to somebody who was, you get a free pass. Really hypocritical, especially when they're trying to pretend to be anti-bullying (despite everyone in power in WWE being a bully in real life). "Don't be a bully, be a star!.. unless you're fat, then fuck off and die!"

Also on the topic of physiques, if they want Owens to look like Cena maybe they should put him on the same steroid/HGH cycle Cena is running? Oh, that would mean acknowledging wrestlers still abuse PED's despite WWE's bullshit PR posturing with their fake wellness policy. Can't have that! No, instead we just say things like Owens has to 'HIT THE GYM' and he'll magically get that WWE physique in no time. Yep! Just hit the gym and hit 10cc of 'Gymsterone', 'Gymbuterol', & 'Gymbolone' weekly and he'll look like Cena in no time!
