Ray/AJ & Angle/Jarrett were the top matches, IMO.

 

Yes, it was a good PPV with good matches. Those matches were good yes, but don't forget the opening tag team match, Storm & Shelley vs. British Invasion. Especially the British Invasion delivered in that match.

 

I watched the final three matches, and the in-ring action all delivered. AJ / Ray was emotional, well-executed, and just awesome overall. Angle-Jarrett was very, very good. And even Stinger delivered a decent brawl with Anderson, looking about as good as he can look these days. I hope to catch the other matches later on today, but it seemed like a solid PPV.

It had it's good moments but it was still shit.

PROS:
-Gun Money vs British Invasion. Great match but I would have had British Invasion go over.
-Morgan vs Steiner was actually ok.
-Crimson is getting loads better. He actually carried Joe at certain points in the match.
-The X Division match was pretty goood(except for the shit ending)
-Ray vs Styles was real good(except for the shit ending)
-Angle vs Jarret is FINALLY over! And the match was pretty good.

CONS:
-British Invasion continues to lose.
-They book a monster like Abyss to SNEAK a victory that a smaller guy usuaully does.
-Womens match sucked.
-BROTHER RAY defeated AJ STYLES in a LAST MAN STANDING MATCH! WTF!?
-World title match was shit.

Hope Destination X is better than this. Slammiversary means nothing without King of the Mountain.

 

To sum it up quickly. I would have paid money for it, so yes.

 

by far the best TNA PPV for a long while, dont let the fact it was taped inside the Impact Zone put you off either.

 

Rather than listen to others if your interested watch it yourself and make your own assumption.
Sick of sheep wanting to follow others.

 

It was pretty good. I had some issues with some finishes, and the Impact Zone is too small and blase to convey how sick some of the action really was, particularly in the Bully Ray/A.J. Styles match.

Sting and Anderson wasn't fantastic, it was about as good as it could have been.

I hope the FINAL MATCH really was the FINAL MATCH. It was really solid. Both Angle and Jarrett could be getting some younger guys over.

Overall, this was a pretty solid PPV. I'll definitely rewatch Bully Ray/Styles because the Mavs game was kind of stealing my attention.

 

Yes, definitely. Aside from a streak of weak finishes, everything was solid/spectacular.

 

I didn't see the show either, but general consensus seems to be:

- Matches were good.
- Finishers were crap.
- AJ/Ray was awesome.
- Decent show overall.

 

Im not a huge TNA fan but i caught Slamiversary, Ray/AJ, Angle/Jarret, Sting/Anderson and the tag match were great matches.

Can some one tell me, in terms on TNA, is this gennerally considered there second strongest PPV behind BFG ?

 

Were we watching the same match? Either the dude had no clue wtf was going on in the ring or he deserves an Emmy. Where was he carrying Joe? Was he carrying Joe when he kept botching move after move? I can't believe some noobs are buying into this Crims-edge-berg hype.

 

Best TNA ppv this year, and for those who bought it, i'm sure that they are happy that they did.

Best match was no doubt AJ vs Bully Ray. I earlier said that the ending was shit, but looking back at it, it was the best way to make AJ look strong. AJ looked strong throughout the match, so nobody should really care about Bully Ray actually winning. AJ got up before Bully at the end btw so yeah...AJ may have lost the match, but he won the war as far as i'm concerned.

 

Joe was more over in that match than Crimson yet they will keep pushing the guy.

 

Which is the right thing to do. It was about 50 40 cut anyway. OP it was a good watch, so I say look for a stream and watch it.

 

Yeah, the crowd just kept chanting for Joe. At one point I heard an awkward, single "Lets go crimson!" chant and the rest of the arena was quiet. Was it me, or when Joe had the single leg on him was the fans chanting "Tap! Tap! Tap!"?

 

No, that awkward single chant was in the sting match when that girl started yelling stings name by herself.

 

It was well worth it. TNA showed that they can put on a quality show. Also, I liked how Tenay pushed a sports like feel in the first 4 matches

 

I'm pretty sure I remember a single voice trying to get a 'LET'S GO CRIMSON' chant started and after her one chant there were crickets

 

Best TNA PPV in nearly 2 years @ OP. The undcardard was much better than usual, the world title match sucked but AJ/Ray is the best TNA PPV match in quite some while. Recommeded watching easily.

The one part of the show that I was worried about, Sting/Anderson, had decent brawling.

It was about as good as you could hope from a Sting/Anderson match and the right guy won. I know I want to watch this Thursday to see what develops from it.

I did learn one thing: A top 3 PPV for a company needs better commentary and a better venue. If they could have went on the road, got a venue that could hold 4 or 5 thousand people, and pack it the PPV would have gone from a really solid and enjoyable 3 stars to a 4 star PPV.

You don't notice how much commentary and crowd adds or detracts to a PPV until you see Impact do a nice PPV to 1000 people just barely giving a damn. Lockdown, Slammiversary, Hard Justice and Bound for Glory should NEVER be in the Impact Zone.

One of the first orders of business should be finding, at a minimum, a quality 3rd man in the commentary booth, if not firing both Tazz and Tenay and starting fresh with a new 3 man crew.

Great PPV, definitely worth watching.

Bully Ray/Styles especially was a fantastic match.
