Rate the Classic Superstar: Kane edition

Alright, it's your favorite part of the week again! It is now time to rate another classic superstar. I'd like to thank all of you for participating in last week's threads. Remember that all of your votes DO matter, but please just try your best to be objective. Let's also try to get as many responses here as possible now, and PLEASE try to vote on my polls

Batista ended up being ranked at 15th place in the classic section so far. Unfortunately for Batista, the ratings for his in-ring ability and his mic skills hurt him slightly. However, the Animal did receive an excellent score for his look/presence. It turns out that Batista now has the 7th highest score for having the best look/presence compared to the rest of the other classic talents.

Jon Moxley ended up being ranked at 33rd place in the current section so far. Unfortunately for Moxley, the ratings for his in-ring ability hurt him dramatically. However, the Death Rider did receive a pretty good score for his mic skills.

Molly Holly ended up being ranked at 23rd place in the women's section so far. Unfortunately for Molly, the ratings for her mic skills hurt her dramatically. However, she did receive really good scores for her look/presence and her in-ring ability. It turns out that Molly Holly is now tied with Mickie James, Lita, and Mercedes Mone at 9th place for having the best in-ring ability compared to the rest of the other women.

I mean you really can't argue too much that.
Look is obvious 10/10 - because there is never mistaking Kane.
In Ring also obvious 10/10 - does things a lot of people his size could not dream of doing AND did them SAFELY.
Charisma 10/10 - he held the attention of arenas full of people with masks on or off.
Mic Skills = I might have to just go 9/10.. Usually he was great on pacing his delivery.. but every once in a while he'd get ahead of himself and stammer a bit.
But it was never to the point it ruined segment or anything.

Below average I would say. He never really had any great matches. (Are people seriously rating him a 7.5 here? Even Jericho only managed an average of 7.8 😮)

Charisma: 6/10.
Hard to rate because of the overlap in prescence and charisma. Based on his unmasked era where he couldnt rely as much on his aura.

Mic Skills: 7/10.
Kinda tricky to rate this since the time he had the most aura and prescence was when he didnt speak. I dont remember anything particularly interesting from him promo wise until his later career when he started showin more personality and humor in his promos.

Kane is one of the most athletic big men in history as he was very agile in the ring during his prime while his aura was incredible to witness and his dominance in Royal Rumble and multi-man matches were amazing.

His prime years from 1997-2003 was truly special

In Ring: 5 He was a capable wrestler in terms of having professional matches without embarrassing himself. Nothing beyond that, ever

Charisma: 7 He had an aura that made him moderately captivating. WWE for whatever reason continued to involve him in a lot of women/sex storylines, so apparently they knew something we didn't...

Mic Skills: 4 His character was never one that should be a talker. Like Big Show. I don't need to see a 7 minute Kane promo. He could put words together in coherent sentences, but that's about it

Look/Presence: Masked Kane is a 10/10. Unmasked...maybe 7 or 8. Lets spli the difference and say 9.

In-Ring Ability: 7/10 - A very solid big man and more than capable (and apparently popular to work with because he was light and safe as hell. Aside from his first two PPV matches with Undertaker and maybe 1 or 2 others, I can't think of too many Kane matches that I loved, but he was generally enjoyable in ring.

Charisma: 9/10 - One of the best characters in the history of the business.

Mic Skills: 7/10 - More multi-faceted than his kayfabe brother the Undertaker as he could be funny or scary given the situation. Never a favorite n the stick, but he got the job done. Actually, I liked him best hen he had the voice box. That was so creepy initially.

OH BABY.

Look/Presence: 666/10. AURA CITY. Holy fuck Kane is the coolest motherfucker, as a kid this was love at first sight. Underwho?
In-Ring Ability: 10/10. One of the best big men ever. Everything he does looks great, absolute brickhouse in his prime, believable offense that makes sense.
Charisma: 10/10. I don't give a fuck who you are, you tried to do the Kane walk at some point in your life. I'm going to tell you this anecdotal tale, every time I'd play a wrestling video game with friends who never watched when they'd go around the select screen they'd almost always pick Kane. I don't mean they'd give a look around either, they saw that mask and zoomed to him.
Mic Skills: 10/10. Underrated as all hell, AWESOME delivery, can sound completely unhinged at a moment's notice and has that deep booming voice. "THE UNDERTAKER IS DEAD, DEAD, DEAD, DEAD, DEAD."

I fucking love Kane.

Fun little fact I learned in the last few years, Peter Steele of Type O Negative was originally contacted to do a theme song for Kane and watched some tapes/promos to help get a creative feel and according to his bandmates he was completely entranced by the character and worked on the song tirelessly. Sadly the theme was never used and they went with Slow Chemical instead and it apparently was a long hope of his to see Kane walk out to his version one day before his unfortunate passing. Peter Steele was a 6'8 tank of a man who looked like a vampire lord and he was down with the Big Red Machine.
