Max Landis does it again.

I've been thinking this for years: Miz is like the shittiest comic book villain of all time that never got taken seriously until he gained more power and became a super villain out to prove everyone wrong, slowly climbing the ranks until we all took notice.

He's basically the antithesis of Daniel Bryan, people doubting him and wanting him to fail caused Miz to become more arrogant and full of himself, not humbled as he overcame odds. If Miz wasn't such an ass and so obsessed with rubbing his success in people's faces, he'd be a big hero. Even if the fans started 100% getting behind Miz tomorrow, he'd never reciprocate because he remembers how they shit on him every step of the way.

And this is why I fucking love the Miz and count him as basically at the top of my favourite WWE on-screen personalities and superstars on a consistent basis. Because more than any other generic cookie-cutter motherfucker WWE tries to make us cheer for, the Miz has what I most like to see in the media I consume: a fucking character. Relatable goals and understandable inner depths.

It's why despite him being a designated heel and an aggressively arrogant piece of shit in how he treats effectively anyone who isn't his wife or his entourage, he's the character I most want to see actually succeed.

That was sort of dumb.

Miz is anti-hero?? Really?? Miz is more like a shitty wrestler that also happens to be a very trustworthy and loyal employee who the WWe can never figure out what to do with so they thrust him into random feuds.

MIZ gets a lot of TV time on a weekly basis and always has, has a record setting title reign right now, has main evented and defended the championship at Wrestlemania (recognized as one of the worst main events in WM history by the way) is regularly featured on Total Divas and stars in lots of WWe produced movies.

The MIZ in no way, shape or form, mistreated by the WWe.

I've said it before but Miz is an underdog heel.

Shitty wrestler...even though he's the best promo guy in WWE, best gimmick worker and solid in the ring. People need to get past this Indy obsession and recognise some non Indy guys are great talents.

Miz has been a glorified jobber for most of the last 6 years, struggling to even get on TV. He's also been despised by most fans such as yourself. Anti-Hero.

Sure we all love The Miz currently and his mic work but lets be honest.. His talent can only get him so far.

He doesn't have a main event look and he's not a fantastic wrestler, he's been in the WWE for over 10 years now and I can think of about 3-4 matches that are great.

If Jinder can be World Champ then why the hell can't Miz? Although he should never get close to the big 4 PPV's as a main eventer.

I've said it before but if Rollins, Balor, etc. can all be World Champs thesedays why do people act like Miz isn't worthy. Miz is a good ring worker and fantastic at everything else. Compared to good-great ring workers who suck at everything else.

I dont get how people can seriously go "Rollins/Balor/Owens/etc should headline Mania" then turn around and act like Miz isn't good enough.

The Miz, in my humble opinion, is probably the most underrated and underappreciated wrestler of our generation. I can't say of all-time because I'm not a student of the history of wrestling but I bet he'd be on that list as well.

Miz has been great from what I've seen. Started off rough on Raw when he was in a forever feud with Ambrose but since then he has returned to that Smackdown form. His character and promos have been fire and he isn't a Gary Stu and Maryse wasn't a Mary Sue :kobe10. WWE is pretty much backwards these days and has been for a while. The heels feel more like people we can relate to over the actual faces. Reminds me of when HBK faked an injury and was still the good guy.

Tempted to watch Wrestling isn't Wrestling.

It took a VERY long time for me to like The Miz. And I mean a VERY long time.

It wasn't until Miz's part in the Cena-Rock feud did I truly begin to realize this guy's potential. Now, I'm not saying he should be at the top of the company, but he sure as hell should be treated like a top guy.

Yes, he has segments. Yes, he has promo time. But he's done more than enough with the IC Title. He's transcended beyond it and finally deserves another World Title shot.

It's true, all of it. That entire story is true. I wouldn't consider him an anti-hero, though. I feel like he's the villain we truly deserved. The most true form of a slow burn full of pent up frustration and anger than eventually blows up whenever he's handed the mic.

It has to suck knowing that you can 100% control the crowd in your hands without having "go away" heat and still not get that title shot. While I can never picture him being big in anything besides WWE, that's not the point. He was made FOR WWE and the WWE suits him well... now if only the WWE itself realized it.

Great talent. One of the best, and from what I've heard, he's a very kind person outside the ring. Couldn't ask for more.
