I agree with Melina but I also understand where Austin was coming from. If you say you're a wrestling fan, know more than some nothing-match between two people that affected nothing of value. If you say Austin/Rock WM 15/17/19, Rock/Hogan, Hogan/Warrior, Hart/Michaels, Lita/Trish, thats one thing. But Melina/Fox? LOLWAT

So yeah, I get where both are coming from.

If you watch the full segment with Austin and whatever that girl's name was (Cameron ?) you'd better understand where Austin was coming from with his reaction, he had asked her various questions about her general wrestling knowledge - she knew nothing.
He asked her how long she'd been a fan - a few months at most.

He rightly realized that she was just using the WWE as a stepping stone and didn't give a fuck about wrestling like most of the girls in WWE at the time. That answer was like someone being interviewed to enter film school or similar and when asked what their favorite movie is they say Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

I 100% agree. Austin was out of line for his reaction. Its such bs group think that we all have to think the same matches are amazing. For me the one match I'll never forget and possibly my fave was Victoria v. Trish v. Jazz at Wrestlemania 19. I remember being soooo excited about it and it was my first Wrestlemania. It was everything my 12 year old mind wanted and more. They women went out and put on a hell of a show. It was special for me.

Now have there been better, more technically sound/entertaining matches before and after that? Obviously. But They dont hold the same weight for me. So for him to shit on a match she enjoyed is trash of him. Had it been me I'd have given him every piece of my mind.

Shit man you read my mind on that triple threat match, but....I digress on your viewpoint of Steve. At least pick a badass match, not some weekly throwaway matches on Raw. It took WWE YEARSSSSSS to finally get back to a badass women's match. Funny enough, it was another triple threat match for the women's championship at WM32. 20's match was good, 21's was mehh, 22's was badass, 23's sucked, 24's tag match was solid, and then the WM25 Miss WrestleMania battle royale happened.....2009-2016 was a death period for women's matches. The WM31 tag match is still pretty solid, but damn, everything was garbage between those years.
