Nobody would've noticed if Cena didn't point it out, if it helps him to deliver promos the way he does, then why not.

Not sure if it was planned or not. On the one hand Cena did notice it and knew immediately that they were cliffs. On the other hand I'm not sure if Rock would agree to plan something like that since it does make him look kinda weak. Maybe Cena saw Rock writing cliffs before his promo and decided to add it to his own part.



Yeah this was obviously done to fuel her heel "I have no idea what I'm doing" character.

 

I don't doubt this wasn't planned either. Cena seemed to have known instantly that not only Rock had stuff written down on himself, but also that they were his talking points.

for as long as I've known rock as a character on tv i've never ever once seen him with a note on his wrist even with his return...the ONLY thing that makes me second guess it was his reaction to when CENA said it looked genuine and it seem like he wanted to knock his face in.

You couldn't even fucking see his face, the only reaction the camera shows is the Rock stops pacing Cena and stands toe to toe with him, which in case you didn't notice the next camera shot is the two of them facing off with the Wrestlemania sign in the background...hmm, I wonder if Cena saying the notes line was the cue to set that fucking shot up for the camera? No, it couldn't be that damn logical.

He doesn't have to write notes on his wrist while filming movies because they do multiple takes, and don't do 20 minutes takes live. It isn't the same thing.

Work or not the promo was pretty weak compared to the ones he's done in the past.

 

It being a work doesn't make it any less shameful to Rocks character. He is known as one of the best mic guys ever and he had notes on his wrist, and in a promo against Cena, which makes it even worse for him.

Judging by the way The Rock seemed completely shaken and rattled after Cena left the ring I dont think it was planned. Before Cena came out Rock was confident and poised but after he was definitely lost.
