It was so dumb when they banned the jacknife powerbomb on WCW

After Nash botched the jacknife on The Giant and he hurt his neck or whatever, supposedly they banned the jacknife powerbomb and Nash would be fined if he used it again. Of course it was a kayfabe ban since Nash went on to use it every week regardless.

But what i found so stupid about it was the commentators was acting as if the move was so dangerous that it could cripple someone. Like he did it to Disco Inferno on one episode and they was acting as if Nash was trying to break his neck or something. It was fine in the past when he used the jacknife, guys took it fine without needing to be carried out on a stretcher, but after The Giant's incident all of a sudden everyones neck was getting broken when taking it.

He only hurt The Giant's neck with it and botched the move because The Giant was so damn big he couldn't pick him up all the way, yet they was acting like any cruiserweight or any schmo was in danger when Nash used it on them. All they was doing was taking a back bump and the commentators and even the wrestlers sold it as if it was a crippling career threatening move, they even took some out on a stretcher with a neckbrace after he done it to them when all they took was a back bump, they didn't even land on their neck.

He hurt the Giant's neck because he couldn't lift him up all the way and he accidentally landed on his neck, yet after that incident they made it so anyone who took the move even if it was executed properly and they landed on their back sell it as if they broke their neck. I just thought it was dumb, it was just a powerbomb, not a piledriver. He delivered it correctly to everyone after The Giant botch but still he was taken out in handcuffs and fined everytime he used it.

Cruiserweights even used the powerbomb during this storyline, infact on the same episode Nash got taken out in handcuffs for using it, the following match was a cruiserweight match and one of them used a powerbomb and the announcers didn't bat an eye to it.
