ECW nostalgia is an easy gimmick.

It's that simple. There's no underlying movement to bring back ECW.

ECW revival didn't work even when ECW originals were still around and WWE was TV14. It sure as shit won't work now

 

All the WCW and ECW guys are old. WWE already has 3 brands that just signed multi-year deals. Neither of these brands are coming back, nor should they if WWE is running them.

When I saw the thread title my first thought was "ECW was on Netflix in the past??". Took me a minute to realize what it meant. lol

WWE I am sure learned from the last attempt if reviving ECW that it's best to leave it alone as a brand and at most do themed matches or shows to the already existing content in the future.

 

No. It’s just for the NXT show in Philly. ECW as a concept wouldn’t work in today’s “Omg you don’t need violence!” world.
