Gunther's title reign has been a bit underwhelming, but not through any fault of his own. He needs actual storylines, and not just a string of people all just saying "I wanna rassle you".
His cocky, grinning heel schtick was fine for the first few months, but as of now, he feels one dimensional and dull. Until he's wrestling, of course.

But don't worry, OP. Gunther will not be champion going into Mania. There's way too many people swinging their dicks backstage, politicking for World Title status. I'm certain it'll be all change before April.

During the match Gunther comes to the ring , destroys everyone , he get s escorted by security out the building , ect ,.. commentators sell drama bout it . The next week Gunther Comes to the ring , cuts a promo bout what a great Champ he is and nobody can match him , they roll the footage how he destroyed everyone the last week ,…CM Punk s Music pops , Punk comes out , cuts a promo and says something like : “ Destroying a bunch of jobbers proves shit !!! WWE has changed the logic of the B world title for a long time now.

Even this new WH Championship was created for those Roman defeated and to give Rollins a face world title run and keep Cody away from the WWE title for a year.

Now let's look at the names you've mentioned

Rock wants the WWE title
Roman wants the WWE title
Punk wants the Mania Main Event (so, Cody or Roman)
Seth will go into paranoia for CM Punk and maybe even Roman

Cena and Drew are the only ones that I'd say could be WH-title favourites for Mania over Gunther.

If Seth wins the WH title before Mania, he'd have to face Punk. But he'd have to beat Gunther in a short feud at Elimination Chamber PLE while Punk wins the Chamber.
But why give that storyline the WH title? And we've already seen their first match as non-title.

You can't really give the title to Drew from Gunther.

And you shouldn't have Cena win the world title before Mania.

I don’t know, but he has that boring aura. And I don’t know why people hate Jey Uso for his in-ring skills? He can move faster in the ring than Gunther and doesn’t botch and is exciting overall. Jey Uso is a bigger draw, and his entrance alone makes him better than him overall. In-ring technical skills don’t matter much more than overall aura and presentation in WWE.

he's much like a jacob fatu in that he wrestles and is presented like a guy 120% his size. at least fatu does moonsaults and stuff. you should only be allowed to wrestle in as boring a style as gunther if you're like sycho sid size minimum.

I like Gunther but I agree with OP. His title reign has not been what I thought it would be. I thought the whole point of putting the belt on him was to have this big dominant workhorse German killing people every week but he's on the show like once a month if that and does nothing of substance at all. The people just aren't that into him.


Probably doesn't help that I have no clue what they're doing with his character. He kinda had to be neutral tweener to go against the Judgment Day..now he's back to cocky asshole to face Uso..then they're teasing the Paul match where he'll be...babyface? Fuck if I know. The whole thing just isn't hitting like I thought it would.


If it's Punk vs. Roman at Mania then Punk needs to beat Gunther before Mania and take the belt. Then Punk's favor can be a guaranteed main event WM match against the guy who always main events, Roman Reigns. For the belt. It all makes sense. Then Gunther can do the Paul match in the upper midcard of the show.
