Goldberg's right that wrestling needs more characters with intensity. Wardlow does not have much intensity. He's just a pretty boy for the most part and brings out intensity for the end of his matches. I think he shows more comedy than intensity on average. When I think of his character now, he sounds kinda awful.

Goldberg was an anomaly that came out of absolutely nowhere with his squash gimmick. WCW was poorly run and didn't give a shit, so they let him go out there and legit hurt people because he wasn't trained well. Goldberg had a shit ton on intensity and a great aura for a couple years, but he's the definition of a one trick pony. There won't be another one like him because people have already seen the squash machine with the brakes completely torn off already

None of the wrestlers you named were considered to be AEW’s upcoming megastars which Wardlow is. His size, his talent in the ring is next to none. Even the best of the best fight differently in the ring with guys like Wardlow. We have seen that in history guys like him can be booked better. Why should logic be any different here? OC is a comedy act where as Wardlow is ment to make you feel the intensity with in the ring. Him having 15 minutes with a guy like Miro is more realistic than a guy who hardly looks the size.
