It fits Dolph's narrative he has a point with Kofi needing interference to win at Showdown though this is usually when a Face is screwed by a Heel using interference akin to the Roman/Shane match by using the steel cage method barring outside interference, I expect Kofi to retain yet again.

Ziggler is the man but he's not a believable contender and it does hurt Kofis reign. If he wins, it just makes Kofi look bad but Vince doesn't understand the concept of a contender at all.

Only because of the inconsistent booking of Ziggler over the years, but people forget he's a former two time world champion - and has beaten the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio before. He's no less credible than Kevin Owens while also being much more of a veteran. He might not be as credible as some other guys, but any former world champion is somewhat of a threat to the title.

Ziggler is fine here, why? It's a filler PPV. Which Kofi will likely retain and move onto a bigger program for Summerslam, maybe against Orton. You don't start your big programs before filler PPVs that hardly anyone will watch, you save them for the big shows.

This could be a good match with some crazy high flying spots.

Its kinda funny to see Dolph all smiling in the match card when hes been acting like a mopey teenager these past weeks

I like this idea. Have Kofi put Dolph away for good inside the cage then move on to feud with Orton in July. Orton's coming off a huge win against HHH and as you pointed out Kofi & Orton have history.

Even back in the AE and RA there was filler PPVs where lesser opponents challenged for titles. WWE do more of them now and they're not going away, so I think it's easier to accept that instead of complaining over something so trivial.

The problem is also lack of stars and Kofi's booking. Having him go through half the roster in gauntlet matches and elimination chamber matches before he even won the title was a mistake.

Meh, it's filler but I'm more ok with it than any other match on the card. I'm kinda digging Dolph's midlife crisis gimmick based off the youtube clips.

I hope Dolph wins just to see the outpouring of salt on here

I feel like Dolph is only filling in because AJ is injured.

WWE did actual storylines back then. Jumping the champion from behind barely makes this a feud or Ziggler a believable challenger. Ziggler is trying but its falling into the same old same same old what-about-me thing they been doing too much.
