Re: Clash of Champions Discussion Thread
I have literally not watched a minute of Raw or Smackdown since Summerslam, so I have no clue what is going on. But...I'll give my thoughts anyway!
Universal Champion Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman = I heard this two were tag team champs. Are they going to have Braun turn heel or what here? Unfortunately, I feel like Braun is one of those guys that got over and got him hot and then they squandered it, and it is very hard to get that energy back once its been wasted. I'll pick Seth to win.
Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode = Seth and Braun pulling double duty, huh? Um, so how long have Ziggler and Roode been teaming? My guess is they win to add fuel to the Universal Title match later in the show, right?
Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks = The return of Banks and subsequent heel turn of Bayley makes this interesting. My guess would be that Sasha would take the belt and put Becky back in the role of chaser.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair = Bayley retains and then Bayley and Sasha rule both women's divisions with an iron fist? Sure why not?
WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton = I could not possibly care any less about this. If Kofi wins, his boring reign continues. If Orton wins, I got Orton as champ for the 9 millionth time. It doesn't matter and I don't care.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E & Xavier Woods vs. The Revival = Aren't the Revival on Raw? I don't fucking know who is on what show anymore. Oh well, I'll go with Revival to take the belts.
Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan = So I take it that "Who attacked Roman?" storyline hasn't evolved since the Rowan acusation? Okay then. Roman wins and his true attacker reveals himself post match. Also, did they ever announce what Bryan's surprise was going to be or whatever that was about?
Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Miz = That's an odd pairing. I feel like Miz kind of got hamstringed by the feud with Shane and the less said about Nakamura the better. I'll pick Miz to win, because sure why not?
United States Champion AJ Styles Vs. Cedric Alexander = I have no idea how the Cedric push is going or what has come of the AJ heel run since Summerslam. Hopefully this is a nice match, but I'll pick AJ to retain.
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Lince Dorado = I don't watch 205 Live and haven't in almost a year and a half. This feels like yet another "Champ Vs. Whoever we can throw out there" type of deal for the Cruiserweights. Actually, I have no idea who Humberto Carrillo is, now that I think about it. Oh well, Gulak retains is my guess.
