Brock Lesnar/Vince McMahon

It apparently seems that Vince McMahon thinks that Brock Lesnar is a draw. Yes, he was a draw when he returned after years of being away but heís no longer that draw. He was given the WWE Championship and Universal Titles and barely even defended the titles, maybe 3x a year. Thinking about that, itís funny because they have a rule stating that titles must be defended once every 30 days but I guess that rule doesnít apply to Brock.

With all of the great young talent that was in last nights menís MITB match, I would have put money on guys like Finn Balor, Drew McIntyre, Andrade and Ali. Honestly, as much as Iím a fan of Fin , I would have liked to have seen Andrade or Ali get the case BUT to much surprise of everyone, long and behold, Brock Lesnar was announced as an 8th person and steels the light from someone more deserving.

Maybe this is a set up for their trip to Saudi Arabia. Rumors are Brock is going to challenge Seth for the title so this maybe his way in. Maybe he could be given a match, lose it cleanly, Brock beats him down and then cashes in. Either way, if Vince wants to improve viewership for Raw and SD and make the MITB briefcase matter and relevant, this is not the way to do it. Heís out of touch with whatís the fans wants because itís what wants.

With AEW getting a slot on TNT, there will be competition and let the WWE/WCW part 2 but Vince will lose this one in the long run unless Triple H take the lead and Vince steps aside.

Of all the things wrong with the WWE today, Brock Lesnar is the least of their problems.

Re: Brock Lesnar/Vince McMahon

Brock is stale.

But he's still a more credible headliner than the rest of the full-time roster. Things haven't exactly been great since he left. The past month has arguably been the worst in the WWE's history.

The worst point, ironically, was the 3rd hour of RAW that internet favourites Seth Rollins and AJ Styles headlined. For months, perhaps years, we were told that these two would tear down the house if they were given the ball at the expense of Brock and Cena. Yet when they were given the ball, they produced one of the lowest rated 3rd hours in RAW's history (sub 2 million). Sure, over-saturation and poor booking also contributed to that low number, in addition to Rollins' shortcomings. But it proved that Brock wasn't really the problem.

Sure, maybe he's not the problem, but how does this help? Brock isn't going to be showing up weekly, using him for a sneaky beat down win does nothing for anybody, and no one's going to care if he does a big called shot because he's wrestled the same fucking match for the past 4 years.

I wonder if WWE has such a problem making stars today because they keep giving big moment after big moment to part timers. Especially part timers like Lesnar who is the apotheosis of the no character wrestler that likes to fight.

Re: Brock Lesnar/Vince McMahon

Brock is one of my top 5 favorite wrestlers of all time but it's true, he ain't a draw for shit. Nothing really justifies his booking except that Vince has always been obsessed with Brock. Even way back in the 2000s, Brock wasn't a justifiable draw back then either

Brock is a favorite. But I'm not gonna worship a guy who is given so much and gives so little. I don't have to defend my favorites if they only turn in 2 or 3 mediocre performances a year

While there's no doubt he's the biggest name they have on the active roster, that doesn't mean he's a huge draw. People are just over him, nobody cares anymore.

Re: Brock Lesnar/Vince McMahon

He is not a television viewership and live gate draw, the two areas that WWE is suffering with big time. I understand they're freaking out over television viewership being in the toilet, but Brock Lesnar is not the solution to that problem. His overpowered booking since 2012 must be a large reason why viewership is in the toilet.

People are speculating that Brock Lesnar will be used to unify the heavyweight titles and be the catalyst to kayfabe end the comatose "brand split" yet I can think of no greater way to drop a hydrogen bomb on television viewership than to have him kidnap RAW's main event scene AND Smackdown's main event scene for another year. Everybody is a geek...but ROMAN REIGNS. GOTTA MAKE ROMAN LOOK STRONG
