Re: Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles (Universal Championship)

Styles going heel and winning the title like he did against Ambrose (via low blow) could provide some interesting storytelling given that is exactly how Rollins beat Lesnar.

Re: Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles (Universal Championship)

AJ Styles is a really good opponent for Seth. Hopefully he can reign in some of Seth's bad habits like Brock did, and get something out of this match. AJ does have a tendency to be a total let down in matches like these however. Pulling for an AJ win because a Seth Rollins title run sounds pretty uninteresting to me.

Re: Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles (Universal Championship)

Rollins is NOT losing the title this early. He's keeping it for a while until the WWE actually puts more effort in to build their credible choices, and they should have done this from year's start.

When Styles finally lost his title, people were relieved, now I see the same ones talking about how they would like AJ to be champ. Truth is and stats here show you guys more or less like both Rollins and Styles when they aren't holding reigns yet go on about how you hope they win one and when they do, "well on second thought....".

There would need to be some next level of fuckery and bad booking to fail this one
Like how can you even fail it? Against nakamura ? Ok the hype was based on their new Japan time but we all know since then naka stopped caring much and want to work healthy.
Against Joe? The fight was good but Joe was never this guy that would deliver classic of wrestling so you can understand why it didn't blew the roof since Joe is more "character" based. But HERE it's like...how can you fail that? Both guys are proven to be able to carry guys less impressive than them in the ring. Seth had a match of the year candidate with fucking miz at backlash. AJ is like
Fucking AJ styles. Both know each others and wrestle the same style.
For this to fail wwe would have to absolutely do their best and hire the worst match agent!
But if they get some guy like Tyson kid? Then it is a match of the decade candidate , because kid is the best match agent they have and they better give him this one.

The problem is that WWE style sucks for main event matches. Neither of these guys have had WWE classics. Considering Zayn vs. Nakamura was a classic, I wouldn't say Nak's reluctance (for a lack of better words) was the culprit there. Same with Joe. Their TNA matches were incredible.

Seth's best matches were with Cena. AJ's were with Bryan and Roman. the bigger the name the better with WWE main event matches.

Balor vs. Aj was a huge let down in my opinion. I'm setting my expectations moderately low for Rollins vs. AJ.

I'll laugh when Brock shows up and low blows Seth causing a DQ and an inconclusive finish to protect both guys and everyone watching groans in exasperation.

Re: Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles (Universal Championship)

I've to believe that Styles will win because of how quickly his feud with Rollins began. Interestingly, both brands could've held off at beginning a feud between their Universal champion and WWE champion with their top acquisitions, Styles and Reigns. Basically Smakdown chose to go with a different opponent for Kingston for now. But, curiously, Raw didn't do the same thing. That is, they could've had Rollins start off with a feud with Lashley or McIntyre instead.

Both are stale beyond belief at this stage.

I fear that Rollins is in for a long title reign. So he will most probably win.

Should be a great match. Seth probably retains and AJ turns heel after the match or the next night on Raw.
