I don't agree with the pirate theme but I could look past it.

Re: WrestleMania 36 - The Ultimate Travel Thread

I booked a room at the Extended Stay America Tampa Airport Hotel for the 2nd.

My companion didn't want me to book a hotel this early, as we're hoping to be able to stay in the same hotel we will be for the Ticket package.

But realizing how quickly rooms are going I thought I should do it now.

Especially with free cancellation up to 24 hours before you arrive.

I'll just tell him if we can't get into Wrestlemania hotel on the 2nd after we call them when we find out where it is.

Room booked at Extended Stay America (via mobile app) in Clearwater, 5 nights for just $300 (thanks to introductory 20% off discount.) If planning to stay through Tuesday morning, you'll need to wait 24 hours to book a room with the chain.

Re: WrestleMania 36 - The Ultimate Travel Thread

I had more fun in NY than I anticipated. My wife tagged along and did all non-wrestling activities.

Next year will be a toss up, but that will be the selling point for her. This time next year we will have a 6 month old baby. My in laws will have almost a 3 year old, so there's been talk about a family trip. The girls can take the kids to the beach and my brother in law and I can do Mania. Its early to say, but the wife gave me the green light to book a hotel with free cancellation.

I always go with Extended Stay America or Candlewood Suites since they have mini-kitchen and free wifi. Comes in handy at night, as you can buy groceries and cook to save money. You also wouldn't have to worry about finding a place to eat should you have the energy to do so when WrestleMania ends.

Extended Stay America also gives 20% discount on each account's first reservation up to 6 nights.

Not a big deal to me as I'll be driving and might even be a personal Uber for those who will be at Ray J.

Ybor City area will be where the central hub will most likely be. It's a strip of bars and clubs similar (but not as legendary) to how Bourbon Street is and only a mile or two from downtown Tampa.

True, figured out it would be as Amalie Center and the Convention center is within walking distance. Booked a cheap Airbnb in that area.

Re: WrestleMania 36 - The Ultimate Travel Thread

I tried booking hotels for WM 36 weekend this past weekend.

Almost every hotel is sold out. The only hotels that still have rooms available are right by the airport.

I've never been to Tampa before. It appears that the arena and convention center are within the downtown area, while Raymond James Stadium is...well...right by the airport.

Where are y'alls planning to stay? Anyone thinking about getting a rental car?
