What's your go to year on the network

Nightly I'll pick a random WWF Raw from 95' or nitro from 95' and watch as much as I can til I fall asleep. It runs all night until I have to wake up for work the next morning. Does anybody have this same routine? (Doesn't have to be 95') What year do you choose?

Re: What's your go to year on the network

When I first got the Network I immediately went to around mid 1996, roughly around Wrestlemania 12. I feel from that point on you could feel the incline WWF was on at the time and everything got better and better as time went on until roughly mid 2002.

'95 is a good year to get on the ground floor of the Monday Night Wars.

I tend to watch pre-96 for the most part. Everything post 2005 ish feels too recent for me still and everything in between is just pure trash outside of the PPVs for the most part.

87-92 for me. From classic PPVs to Supertapes, no period in wrestling offers bettee comfort watching.

1997 and 2000

1997 had such a gritty and anarchic feel to it and 2000 had the best balance of in ring action and character since the 80's IMO

2000.

I've been going through reliving the Attitude Era (not fully) on the WWE Network, starting from the beginning of 1999 through until the end of 2001 and it's been enjoyable going "back in time" although I need to get back watching them as I haven't even made it to Wrestlemania 2000 yet.

Re: What's your go to year on the network

Currently working through 2003. Kinda ridiculous looking at the roster at the time, you had the Attitude Era guys still hanging around like Austin, Taker, Kane, Show, Angle, Jericho, Triple H (with some Rock and Foley thrown in), the return of HBK. WCW guys like Booker, Goldberg, Nash, Steiner; Rob Van Dam on fire repping the old ECW, with Dreamer, Richards, and the Dudleys there too. Then the emergence of the new guys-Lesnar, Orton, Cena and Batista. The emergence of Christian as a viable singles star- Edge started the year strong but fell to injury. Guerrero and Benoit started moving up the card. Rey Mysterio was healthy and doing awesome shit.

The booking (HHH reign of terror mostly) left something to be desired, but there was still some great stuff there.

1998 to early 99 and all of 2000 to early 01. I also catch some of 96-98's WCW and 2000 WCW for the nostalgia.

I have been watching Raw, Nitro and now Smackdown from start of Monday Night War in 1995. Currently up to second half of 1999.
