This was one of the biggest WWE talking points in 2016. The network also cancelled the show afterwards.

I know the narrative is Ambrose looked like a stoned/evasive/lazy champion, but it really doesn't come across that bad.

Austin has that face with everyone, especially around other "alphas".

Dean didn't give a lot of details about his childhood, and he did dismiss the 9to5 lifestyle, but apart from that, why the uproar?

He called Brock lazy, which many would agree with a year later.

And he took offense to the not pushing the envelope, but it was an interesting heated exchange, and they got through it.

Were people expecting a slick, rehearsed question and answer session?

If anything, that interview comfirmed that Ambrose IS his own man, and does have "edge".

Just a shame that the Ziggler title feud became an afterthought at Summerslam, because champion Ambrose was intense, even though the reign was during the height of "Stone Cold was right!!! Dean's phoning it in! Boo! Give AJ the title NOW!"

Re: What Was Wrong With The Ambrose/Stone Cold Podcast?

I didnt really think it was that bad. The beginning were it was about Ambrose childhood was particularly awkward but everything after that was imo ok. Not great as it still had an aura of tension but still it was alright.

If anything, the tension made it interesting. For me personally.

"Meaningless, huh?! What do you know of meaningless?!

Spend most of your life ruled by another...watch your race dwindle to a handful...and then, tell me what has more meaning than your own strength.

I have in me the blood of a Saiyan Prince, he is nothing but a joke. Yet I've had to watch him surpass me in strength, my destiny, thrown to the wayside!

He's...he's even saved my life as if I were a helpless child. He has stolen my honor...and his debts...must be paid!"

It was just bad, interviews were guest awkwardly avoid seemingly basic questions for no explained reason and seem genuinely uninterested feel like a waste of time. It was probably just not the day to do interviews for Ambrose, maybe he wasn't comfortable with Austin (his stuff with Jericho is good after all). But it just wasn't enjoyable to me.

Re: What Was Wrong With The Ambrose/Stone Cold Podcast?

The beginning stuff about Dean's childhood was awkward because he didn't want to talk about it, and Austin couldn't take a hint by moving forward. He kept pressing him.

Showed why Ambrose should never be champion - he is terrible at media duties and made the whole interview very awkward to watch.

Ambrose didn't want to be there. That's what is wrong with it.
