Re: Alexa Bliss Fan Thread
I don`t wanna bother the (no) face pain, but the last few weeks, especially since Nikki is around, I heard something more and more on the WWE shows, which maybe has to do with it. Maybe it is just random.
Nikki and other wrestlers call Alexa Bliss more and more Lexi, which is her pet name (I found no better translation) I think. I remember years ago, when someone called her by that name in the ring, which didn`t happen a lot, she corrected him or her and said something like "the name is Alexa". She stopped doing that, it seems. The only other woman wrestler I know this pet name thing happens a lot is Natalya. Except the ring announcer, all wrestlers and commentators call her inring Nattie and the crowd even chants that name, when she got chants. The ironic thing: before SummerSlam Natalya said inring after the match to the interviewer: "so first of all, Lexi sucks".
On the other hand: I never heard Charlotte Flair being called "Ashley" or Bayley being called "Pam", while the regular TV shows are running.
What do you guys think about that pet name thing? Maybe in the USA it is different, but if people, which are not close to you, call you by your pet name, it is meant disrespectfully.
