Re: Bray Wyatt Thread: The NEW Face of Fear

I've seen WWE destroy plenty of guys with potential before, but none quite to the degree of Bray Wyatt.

If WWE ever went under and I felt compelled to write "Rise and Fall of WWE" book, I could dedicate an entire chapter to how they completely ruined the guy that could have been the Undertaker of the new generation.

Re: Bray Wyatt Thread: The NEW Face of Fear

The mishandling of Bray Wyatt will probably be what makes me go on hiatus from wrestling again. It's an absolute disgrace that such a talent is rotting in the limbo without a shitty thing going on for him; he is so completely different, his cult leader gimmick was so different, yet he's a shadow of himself now.

The Firefly Fun House and The Fiend have also been teased on the WWE website:

FUCKING FINALLLLLLYY!!!!!!

looks like we’re gonna be getting Bray in his multiple personalities, Eater of Worlds teased on SmackDown with the rocking chair and potentially/hopefully we get The Fiend at the Rumble? After the QR Code tease. I’m just happy to see The Fiend hasn’t been forgotten, he still has unfinished business. I’m still a little worried about the crazy out of touch old man being back on the board, but as long as he stays out creative, I’ll be happy. I do wonder which version of Bray will show up to face LA Knight. I’m also kinda wondering if Bray will enter the Rumble as one of his personalities too. I guess time will tell.
I am hoping Bray wins the Rumble and shows up at Mania as The Fiend and squashes Roman in a quick match. Imagine his new music hitting with the white light coming through the wooden door he enters through and then the sound of power shutting down hits, then the doorway light goes red and the screeching sounds start. Would be awesome!

Today was a terrible day. A very creative man was struck down in the prime of his life. It's always tragic when someone passes prematurely but this was devastating news. A father lost his son; a wife lost her husband; and several children lost their father.

We as fans lost a wrestler who finally realized his potential but had so much more to give. Rest well Windham Rotunda aka Bray Wyatt. Your fans and the art of Pro Wrestling shall miss you dearly. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Bray Wyatt cult

So after his deletion are there any of his fans left?

One year ago our guy was a World Champ.

Now he is a forgotten piece.

It's sad how the WWE writers have taken a possible main event heel to mid card jobber in spite of his talent.

The very thing the WWE needs, main event heels, and they had one in Bray....sad

The thing with me is that I wanted to see the guy as a main event face. Look back to 2016 where he turned face for all of a week and then got hurt again:

It was so easy for him. People instantly took to him and Bray barely had to do anything to get them to respond to him. It looked like the start of something great. But then he got hurt, again, and this whole moment was forgotten.

Then he goes to Smackdown and he and Orton have a very interesting program that leads into WrestleMania. Bray even gets the WWE Championship out of it and despite years of so-so booking, people responded very well.

But unfortunately, they did the Orton turn too early and the story peaked when he burned Bray's house down. And it didn't help that they had zero chemistry in the ring.

And now we're at this point where it feels almost impossible to care about him despite the talent. I'm at the point now where I just want Bray to go away for awhile and when he comes back, be something different.

Whether that's as the original Cult Leader Bray Wyatt or even a more humanized version of Bray Wyatt, something needs to change.

Re: Bray Wyatt Fan Thread: The NEW Face of Fear

Bray showing off his chest tattoo.

Reminds me of Corbin's entrance video.

Pretty cool tattoo.

Damn, still annoys me what could have been with Wyatt. He had potential to be a top Heel. I was watching the Bryan-Wyatt moment the other day from 2014 in the Steel Cage, and the reaction for that was crazy, and then the whole Shield-Wyatt's stuff.

Hoping to see Bray return to WWE in October/November. Some ideas:

Extreme Rules (October 8)
October 10 RAW
October 31 RAW
Crown Jewel (November 5)
November 7 RAW
Survivor Series (November 26)
November 28 RAW

I don't want to see him return in the Royal Rumble. Mainly because it's obvious that he wouldn't win it, and that fact would ruin his return for me.

I love the name Bray Wyatt too. And yes, he should definitely keep The Mandible Claw.

Personally, I'd love to see him rotate his three personas - Cult Leader, Fun House Bray & The Fiend - with his Fiend persona being treated like a special attraction and being protected. Have him wrestle big matches only as The Fiend and have him fucking win them.

This was art. I loved the whole character dissection of John Cena’s character, all the callbacks for both Bray and Cena’s careers, still my favourite match from that Mania. It wasn’t at all a traditional match, but it was an absolute masterpiece, I still can’t believe it exists sometimes, it’s so different from anything we’ve seen, yet it worked so perfectly.

There will never be another Bray Wyatt. We are lucky that we got to witness his work while he was with us. Bray was incredible, he was my favourite, I’m still in disbelief, I expect him to show up again as his character was just so convincing., you’d believe he could rise again. Bray Wyatt was one of those characters that you could simply describe as “once in a lifetime”. He’s in the same category as The Undertaker. It’s sad to think there’s a void left now in WWE, he was such a unique and crucial part of the show that he gave us something that wasn’t offered elsewhere on the show, I love the supernatural stuff personally. Undertaker and Kane are my all time favourites so I’m biased. Bray is a first ballot Hall of Famer for sure.
