Spoiler for obby's card:

Welcome to OBBYPALOOZA!

The show opens w/ a fuckton of impressive fireworks. Even better than the ones they used to start shows with all the time before Vince got cheap

Mike Tenay:
Welcome to OBBYPALOOZA, folks! Tonight, we'll be witnessing a wrestling extravaganza like never seen before!

Don West: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME, MIKE!

Mike Tenay:
Not at all, my friend. The matches tonight will indeed be of the wrestling variety, and it is quite true that we have never seen a show like this before. Uncanny!

Don West: UNCANNY LIKE MY BRAND NEW OBBYPALOOZA BLUE BAG SPECIAL! A DVD OF THE EVENT PLUS TWO T SHIRTS AND AN ACTION FIGURE FOR 12.99! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FREAKING KIDDING!

Mike Tenay: Tonight, we will be featuring some of the biggest stars in the history of this industry! I'm talking guys like The Rock-

Don West: Mike, while you're in asskissing mode why don't you kiss The Rock's ass as well?

Mike Tenay: Excuse me?

Don West: You heard me. Why don't you go in the back, man, ask The Rock to pull his pants down and plant one on him too?

Mike Tenay: The hell are you talking about?

Don West: Oh man, don't act stupid. You know exactly what this is about.

Mike Tenay: I don't know what this is about, you wanna educate me?

Don West: You want it right here? I'd be more than happy to educate you. In fact, I'll educate you, and I'll educate everybody else here. There's something that needs to be said.

*West gets up, and is handed a mic by a senior official*

Don West: I tell you, Mike. You and I have been best friends for almost seven years. We've done everything together. We were supposed to call EVERY SINGLE MATCH ON OBBYPALOOZA. I've been to your house, you've been to my house SEVERAL TIMES. Our WIVES are best friends!

Mike Tenay: Don, what's this all about-

Don West: LET ME FINISH! Please, let me finish. A few days ago, obbypalooza management held some meetings, folks. And one of the many topics at those meetings was my future here at this announce table. And Mike Tenay, I heard you were at that meeting.

Mike Tenay: Says who?

Don West: JUST LET ME FINISH! You were at that meeting, and YOU, said NOTHING in my defence! When your best friends topic came up, you had nothing to say. You were NEUTRAL! NEUTRAL! You wouldn't pick a side! Let me tell you something, people. You put this man on a pedestal. You do, you put him here!

*West points to the announce table*

Don West: But I found out about this man! You're nothin'... but a SELFISH PRICK! YOU COULD HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING! BUT YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE BALLS! I tell you something, I don't know what my future holds. But I know one thing, no, you know what? I know two things. Number one: Our friendship? It'll never be the same. Number two: You can take this microphone and shove it up your ass.

*West drops the mic and walks off, leaving Tenay to call the show on his own*

Match #1
Rey Mysterio vs. Pentagon Jr.

Lucha Libre is the ancient art of mexican wrestling that can be dated back to 1863. A tradition almost as old as the art form itself is the classic battle between tecnicos and rudos, good and evil. Rey Mysterio is the underdog babyface, the fan favourite, the hero to fans across the globe. Pentagon Jr. is the vicious psychopath who derives pleasure from the anguish of his opponents. The classic battle between good and evil in a high paced dream lucha match to kick off the show.

Match #2
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Vader

Two of the stiffest competitors in the history of Japan battle in an all out war so vicious it doesn't need to be a no disqualification match. What Shibata lacks in size he makes up in tenacity, as he looks to take down arguably the greatest big man in the history of pro wrestling.

~

*We see the Rock 'n' Roll Express, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, hanging out in a room with an ominous white background.*

Ricky Morton: Man, I can't believe we weren't even included in the tag title match tonight. This is ridiculous!

Robert Gibson: No doubt. I'm wondering if these are grounds to sue the company on.

Ricky Morton: Did you hear that?

*footsteps, getting closer and closer*

Sean O'Haire: Look at yourselves. Sitting here complaining that you don't have a title match, ignoring the cardinal rule of wrestling. If you attack the winners of the tag match tonight, they're gonna challenge you to a match for their titles. Why wait in the back in the line for a proper shot when you can just reach out and grab success? Making enemies is worth it's weight in gold, my friends. Hell, I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.

~

Match #3
The Steiner Brothers vs. The Funk Brothers
Tag Team Championship

Two of the most successful tag teams of all time, with over 25 world tag title reigns between them, go head to head. Which will prove to be the ultimate brotherly tag team combo?

Match #4
Goldberg vs. Kevin Owens

A duo of big men with two very different styles. Goldberg is the no nonsense badass who lets his actions do all of the talking for him, whereas Owens is the definitive shit talker of the modern era who does his best to get in his opponent's head. Will Goldberg's resolve get him the win in this generational dream match? Or will Owens manage to get the win over the man who never lost a match clean in his entire career. This one may shake the building.

Match #5
Mankind vs. Kane
Hell in a Cell match

Two of the most tortured and demented characters in the history of pro wrestling compete in one it's most fearsome match types. In a historic rematch between two opponents with a history, only one can stand tall.

Match #6
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. KENTA

A never before seen inter promotional dream match between two of this generations puro greats. Tanahashi looks to defend New Japan's honour against the former face of Pro Wrestling NOAH in KENTA.

Main Event
Mistico vs. Bret Hart vs. The Rock
World Championship Match

*The first man to make his entrance, Mistico, begins his signature run to the ring and bounces off a trampoline between the ropes. Sadly, he botches the landing and breaks his leg in seven places. He has to be stretchered out*

Main Event
Bret Hart vs. The Rock
World Championship Match

On the March 25, 1997 edition of WWF Raw, wrestling icons The Rock and Bret Hart had their only meeting in history. It was a blowoff TV match that ended in a non decision when Steve Austin ran in. It took place while The Rock was still Rocky Maivia, before he had realized his potential and become one of the biggest icons in wrestling history. Now, the two can have the contest the world was robbed of, with two of the all time greats squaring off for the ultimate prize.

Mysterio/Pentagon, Shibata/Vader (Hayley's wet dream), Mankind/Kane HIAC, and Bret/Rock.

obby has a great card overall.

Sasha/Becky, Rusev/Muertes, Austin/Batista is pretty damn solid too.

Gotta go with obby.

Going to go with obby here, who impressed me not only with ENTERTAINMENT~! value, but also simply with the matches on his card. The women's matches, old-timers, and Batista do nothing for me on Fringe's card unfortunately. Would watch the hell outta obby's show.
