Platinum #11 secured and obtained and a really enjoyable game from start to finish. The storyline was great, the characters were brilliant as was the voice acting (Spinelli from Recess was a voice artist on this game, which is awesome!) and I enjoyed the settings and environment. Manny, Glottis and Domino were all great and hilarious, especially Domino in Year 3, some of his one liners was superb!
A pretty easy game to platinum but some people I saw struggled with the Tank Controls achievement, where they would play the whole game with the Tank Controls on and the trophy never popped for them, thus they didn't get the platinum. Mine popped fine and I actually enjoyed using the Tank Controls, it took me on a sort of nostalgic trip (to the late 90's, haha!) and after 5 minutes, I got used to them. As for the puzzles, they were fine but the safe lock door puzzle was a bit of a pain to begin with but the rest I was fine with.
Year 2 was my favourite but my god did it feel like a chore! Definitely the longest chapter and the one where you can miss many key items or clues to progress to the next part of the story. I had to make sure to check every nook and cranny.
The only downside was the end of Year 4, it just sort of ended in an anti-climatic way. I read the developers were going to add 5 puzzle stages to the final "boss battle"
but they just couldn't add this in the final game, which is a shame. It just sort of ends (the cutscene was enjoyable but I was hoping for more having not played the original) but still, that doesn't take away from a really good game to play. So glad I got this for free in January, I was planning on playing it sooner but other amazing games had come out that were my top priority at that point. At this point I just wanted to play a short single player game and this was sufficient and a good choice.
In conclusion, a great, fun albeit short game.
