Rainbow Six Siege

It took me over 7 months but I finally achieved the Platinum Trophy for Rainbow Six Siege late last night! I'm really chuffed to get this one not just because it gets me into double digits of Platinum Trophies for my collection but mainly because I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I had so much fun playing this from December-February and been getting back into it this past month. The strategy, gameplan, working as a team and even using your own initiative... everything and anything you must utilize to win a game/round. Sometimes it can be laggy, cheap, buggy, frustrating and annoying but most of the time it is a lot of fun to play, especially after having a break from it due to the annoying glitches, server crashes and agonisingly slow lag, which they've sorted... pretty much.

Some trophies were tough to get but Meat Wall and Senseless were a real pain in the ass to obtain. Meat Wall is pretty much down to luck to achieve that now unless you come up again someone who likes to camp by a wall and Senseless means you have to use Blitz for the Flash Shield Bonus. Sure, I got used to him towards the very end of achieving the trophy but he isn't one of my favourites. I really dislike shield/slow operators.

Still, got my 5th Platinum of the year and it feels good!
Congrats on your new plat! I just have 4 trophies left in that game and they involve terrorist hunt. I guess I could spend an hour a day to chip away at the requirements to get that plat but it seems real tedious as fuck. XD

Just got the achievement for completing RE5 on Veteran for XB1. Would do it on professional but just about had enough of the game for now. Can't wait for RE4 later this month though.

Less grindy and time-consuming than Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence, but no less enjoyable. I look forward to a Power-Up Kit update should one be released.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Limits of the Possible - Collect all trophies.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

That was one hell of an awesome journey to playthrough again. I thought I was never going to actually get the Platinum for the game but when they introduced the New Game + I thought there might be a chance. But then I got stuck in fucking White Orchard and left it at that for months. Then picked up the game again a few weeks back and got stuck at another section of the game - helping Keira Metz through a cave. But then I decided to respec my character and never looked back - Quen and Yrden were the most helpful signs throughout the game. Never used Thunderbolt or Swallow again. The only hardest bit at the end of the game was Eredin's navigator - Caranthir. He took a little longer than I wanted it to. And at certain times would glitch Elementals in mid air, making the game stutter and slow down considerably.

Still, Eredin was much easier and simpler. Just kept using Quen and whenever I had the opportunity to attack I did. It took a while as the attacks didn't really take that much damage off, but you just have to keep your focus and not fuck up. Ciri became Empress, Geralt and Yen went with eachother, Temeria became independent, killed Radovid... Now I'm going to start on the DLC and enjoy the rest of this game. See if there are any areas, quests, items that I may have missed.

Just an awesome game alround and one of my favourites ever. Plus it's one of the best, and most satisfying Platinums to go after.

Number Nine Ticket
Get all other trophies in the game.

Grim Fandango

Platinum #11 secured and obtained and a really enjoyable game from start to finish. The storyline was great, the characters were brilliant as was the voice acting (Spinelli from Recess was a voice artist on this game, which is awesome!) and I enjoyed the settings and environment. Manny, Glottis and Domino were all great and hilarious, especially Domino in Year 3, some of his one liners was superb!

A pretty easy game to platinum but some people I saw struggled with the Tank Controls achievement, where they would play the whole game with the Tank Controls on and the trophy never popped for them, thus they didn't get the platinum. Mine popped fine and I actually enjoyed using the Tank Controls, it took me on a sort of nostalgic trip (to the late 90's, haha!) and after 5 minutes, I got used to them. As for the puzzles, they were fine but the safe lock door puzzle was a bit of a pain to begin with but the rest I was fine with.

Year 2 was my favourite but my god did it feel like a chore! Definitely the longest chapter and the one where you can miss many key items or clues to progress to the next part of the story. I had to make sure to check every nook and cranny.

The only downside was the end of Year 4, it just sort of ended in an anti-climatic way. I read the developers were going to add 5 puzzle stages to the final "boss battle" but they just couldn't add this in the final game, which is a shame. It just sort of ends (the cutscene was enjoyable but I was hoping for more having not played the original) but still, that doesn't take away from a really good game to play. So glad I got this for free in January, I was planning on playing it sooner but other amazing games had come out that were my top priority at that point. At this point I just wanted to play a short single player game and this was sufficient and a good choice.

In conclusion, a great, fun albeit short game.
