Well, it's about video game restriction....not truancy laws and leaving kids unfeed at lunch. Please don't think @I'mTheGreatest represents all Americans. I think the issues you mentioned are serious as well, but that's not what this article is about. I didn't intend to list every bad thing happening in all countries in one wrestling forum post, just about the posted article.

Child development is actualized beyond providing for the basic needs where psychological and social development comes in. You can't do right by your child if you have to work 3 jobs or both parents have to work more than 40 hours 5 days a week just to put food on the table and a roof over their heads.

We had Kamala here recently want to force kids to be in school from 9-6 so that parents could be even MORE productive than they already are ... Which is absolutely fucking insane. Draconian societies and nanny states are a symptom of a capitalist system where productivity is valued more than individual development - especially when that productivity only goes into lining the pockets of the already rich and wealthy.
It's the truth. I made a mini-rant about my job, which is well off corporate company. But, I have coworkers who work the 9-5 and still need to do Uber or delivery pizza on the weekends to make ends meet, and they're not even parents. It's really easy to dismiss this law with "parents should be better" when it's literally sometimes impossible for a parent to enforce a rule if they're working to keep a child alive. I made a mention that the government should provide resources to parents to help them enforce their own parental rules. I don't have any suggestions, but I don't think setting curfews and limits to gaming is going to help whatever agenda China is trying to run.

I support the theory behind it. In execution its a little bit like government shouldn't be controlling its peoples. But video game addiction is a massive issue, and a growing one. Talk to most parent's of young-teenage kids thesedays and they'll all tell you their kids obsessed with Fortnite and melts down when its time to stop playing.

I play video games, but its just unhealthy to spend mass amounts of time playing them every single day, and playing all night long too.

Basically China has the same problem as USA does: The lack of responsible and respectable parenting.

I do like the details of the law but..the Government shouldn't be the ones to decide video game limitations for kids. The parents should be the ones stepping up, setting rules in their individual homes. You know, the good old fashioned way.

Supporting Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard!
