Re: The Witcher 3

might give this another go soon. I tried loading up kingdom come deliverance last night and my save game has corrupted it seems, it just crashes and says "cannot load game". Fuck going back through that slow early part again, takes ages.

its an interesting game but fuck me is it terribly built.

Game is a lot of fun, but I'm with you on terribly built. I'm somewhere near level 20, but haven't played in almost a month because of the choppy movement, getting stuck in trees while on horse, etc. Just annoying. The storyline? Fucking amazing, but everything in between is such a hassle.

Id honestly like it ALOT more if it wasnt such a pain in the ass. Simply loading the game up is a chore in itself, you have to watch a long intro movie so it can load, then there is a massive load screen to load your save. It must take near ten minutes just to get into the game.

Its generally a really nice game to be in, the map feels lived in, the characters are interesting, its just so badly put together. its good moments are spoiled by the negatives too many times. Big problem is is that the game is very hard anyway, took me ages to get the hang of sword fighting and firing bows, then you are constantly fighting the game engine because its so unstable.

I just can't bring myself to start that game over again, its a slow process and I cant deal with the glitches. I hoped they would patch it over time but maybe the developers just arnt skilled enough. The game is still generally a broken mess. It can be funny to start with, then it just gets annoying and laborious.

Bro you need to get back into it. I agree with the getting stuck in trees and glitchyness sometimes but the story and gameplay alone takes care of that imo. The loading screen is a bitch though and I do hate that especially when you die. I stream on twitch and i hate when I die and then it takes 20 minutes for me to get back into game.

Other then that I love every aspect of the game. I love how long it is and how it seems never ending in a way. Its been four days since I have played since I got a new job and all so been focusing on that and I am getting the itch badly.

I actually find the game very easy. Fighting became soo easy to the point I could literally take like 20 guys on at once. There was ONE fight I had trouble with. It was when you had to save the jester like dude. I forget anyone's name except Geralt. The getting stuck in the trees and shit is what set me over the top. I also don't understand alchemy or crafting really lol.

The alchemy and crafting is tough but if you really read you can understand. There is TOO MUCH STUFF you can make that is useless but seems good. I honestly just sell all my junk and not even bother dismantling it to sell since getting crowns is tough as it is and the farther you go you need to buy stronger weapons. I love the game overall.

like I say really, its not the content of the game that bothers me, its a good game, its just its construction of it that ruins it, it needed alot more testing and fixing before it was released. Its possibly one of the most unstable games I have played on a console, Im always on edge that Im going to get stuck somewhere. I certainly don't know how they let it get released with that awfully long load time at the start. The UI is even clipped off the screen with no settings within the game to set your screen edges.

the only two games I remember having my game save wiped is kingdom come and wwe 2k15. Kingdome come is worse to lose because its got such a long and slow introduction. I don't have the time to go through it all again, Im way too busy working on coding for embedded systems.

overall, its a game I want to love and would certainly love if it was constructed in a better way, as it is, its kind of stressful to play and losing saved games is just annoying, makes me not want to do it again if it could potentially lose my progess again.

Yeah i understand how loosing save files on a game like that would poss you off. Im a console gamer so its harder to loose save files even though its definitely possible.

I had uninstalled the game on PS4 for a while so Im assuming that that caused the corruption. Ive never had that with any other game on PS4 though so I just assume that its another problem with the game's coding. The game generally has a lot of problems in its structure so it wouldnt surprise me if something went wrong in the process.

Maybe the uninstall causes some error between the save file and the game itself.
