That map has so much potential to be a favorite but is straight unplayable right now.
The London map is atrocious too

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

I don't think Ive played a COD game since MW2 where I actually liked the multiplayer maps. CODs map design in general is terrible imo. They are constructed to be shooting galleries rather than thought out layouts. COD 4 always had a nice mix of sniping maps, close combat maps and maps that offer bits of both. Any cod game I have played since MW2 just seems to offer chaotic maps that feel thrown together with a low amount of thought. Thats why you end up with unplayable areas because players find ways to exploit it.

I remember back in the day, I used to play ghost recon online, they didn't have random spawn points so on one map you could get pushed back to a cliff edge where the team could just sit across from it and snipe anyone spawning in on one specific point. It would literally become unplayable. COD isnt much different tbh.

Idk Blacks Ops 2 felt a little more balanced with most maps except Nuketown, But generally agree with the others.

I cannot speak for black ops 2, 3 or 4 as Ive played none of them. I generally stopped picking up COD games after being let down by black ops 1 (nuketown was a chaotic mess). That was the last one I picked up on launch day and got bored of it pretty much instantly.

I remember playing ghosts which was generally awful as well as infinite warfare and WWII. None of which really impressed me. Even the zombie modes lack the good map creation of WAW.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

I personally fucking love this game. I've played every single CoD since Call of Duty 4 without missing a single one, this is the first one since maybe Black Ops 2 in 2012 where I knew on the first day it was going to be a huge time sink for me. First off, the Campaign is one of the best in the series BY FAR. Never has a CoD storyline took so many risks and produced such a well-crafted and creative FPS campaign. I was really sketpical when they said they were going to reboot arguably the best set of Campaigns in the series, but they managed to out-do even those whilst tackling real world issues and presenting a more serious and realistic look. Obviously you had your typical cliches and blockbuster moments, but it felt like a much more grounded and serious approach to these type of games, with some moral choices and tough moments. I loved it. It was also amazing on Realism difficulty, the night vision scenes looked real. Good to see proper stealth in a CoD game.

The Multiplayer is also fantastic. The weapons feel great, and it has a ton of quality of life improvements. I like that there is more recoil and it just feels more visercal. The only gripe I have with the game is the maps fucking suck ass. If the maps were better, it'd be the best game in the series for me personally. If they can bring out better maps over the course of the game, it's going to be awesome. They said they were releasing free map DLC this year which is even better.

Literally restored my faith and love in this series. Couldn't recommend this game enough. It obviously has it's flaws, but if they iron those out it's maybe GOTY for me.

Ive not played a huge amount of the multiplayer yet but the campaign is really, really good. Its nice to have a "pure" old school feeling COD back considering how outlandish the series has gotten over the last several years.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

Just sunk in a couple of hours into the game tonight.

Did not touch the campaign yet, I'm very excited to though. Campaigns are my favourite part of COD games.

As for the multiplayer...so far I'm loving it! I haven't found a big issue with any of the maps to be honest. My first game was a Ground War match and it was okay. I gotta try it out again but since then I've been playing TDM and having a blast. It took me a while to figure out how to select TDM, Search, HQ, etc. Kind of weird UI there...

Anyways, love the look, love the present/modern vibes, the graphics are great, no lag for me so far, love the gunsmith customization.

TL;DR
Loving the multiplayer so far, can't wait to dig into the campaign soon.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

Interesting ending, is this game a prequel to COD4 or a total reboot with the same characters ?

The solo campaign was the best in any CoD I have ever played btw
