I will say the gunplay and fluidity in combat is easily the best out of the Bethesda published games. And the settlement building was also really fucking cool as is the weapon customization.
If this is indeed set in Virginia I think it'll be better just because I find Boston so boring and the last time they headed to VA (in the Point Lookout DLC for Fallout 3) they did a pretty damn good job.
Can't wait for their conference in a couple of weeks.
sums up my feelings about fallout 4 nicely. i'll add that you are forced to be the 'avenging parent', railroaded into feeling 'affection' for a baby you've spent 10 seconds with in the prologue, forced to rescue settlements unless you sequence break the game
voiced protagonist was atrocious, dialogue doesn't match the conversation wheel in the slightest
once you've done the main quest and the handful (literally a handful) of decent side quests, there's nothing. it's just grind the same high xp locations over and over again while after reaching level 50 you get increasingly weaker and enemies become the traditional bethesda health sponges
settlement building felt tacked on and glitchy. the gunplay was better (not exactly a feat compared to fallout 3 lol) and the word looks quite nice
i'm still playing, but purely because of quality of life user created mods
anyway if this announcement = fallout online, then ugh, just no
fallout has always been single player. one of the few games left that still is
