Re: The Walking Dead: The Final Season

I know it would be extremely convoluted, but Id love it if Clem bumps into Arvo during this game, so I can put a bullet in the little twats head...

Would be nice if we get some flashbacks of some of the characters from previous games (Lee, Kenny, Luke). Also hoping, since this is the last season, that it frees Telltale up to make your decisions actually count for something. Im paranoid that theyll kill Clem off, but Id be okay with them having an ending where she lives and another where she dies.

I think they'll have an ending where it's either her or AJ. She'll literally give her life for him, or she could survive by herself, but you're gonna feel guilty for the rest of your life. I'm convinced they'll do that. And it sucks too, pending such a choice on a player, where you can't win and you basically can't have a happy ending period. I get that there's no happy endings in real life, but if they won't give her a satisfying finale (or at least give it in one of the endings), a lot of people would be disappointed.

Re: The Walking Dead: The Final Season

So, played through Episode 1 today...

Spoiler for spoilers for Episode 1:
Wasn’t sure about the “all kids-no adults” scenario going in, but I really enjoyed this episode. Thought the vast majority of the new characters were well fleshed out, just one or two who haven’t been (yet at least). Going to be a bit gutted if Rosie dies, the scene with the dog in Season 2 is still the most uncomfortable I’ve felt playing a TWD game. Kind of regret letting Abel go instead of attacking him, just felt Clem wouldn’t take the risk in that situation (especially with AJ in the firing line). Might have to replay it to check what happens if I do, doubt much will change though. Didn’t expect AJ to blow Marlon away, kid’s got future psycho written all over him.

You need to be yourself, you can't be no-one else.

Re: The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Im not sure on the story at this point because I stopped playing after season 2 but I played the demo for the new season today and some of it just made me go "what the fuck?"

clem finds two zombies that were a couple who died and left a note asking to be left alone. Then it turns out that the zombie has the key to a door but clem cant get it because she will get bitten so you are left with a choice of kill the zombies or send AJ into a dark and potentially dangerous area of the cabin to unlock the door from the other side.

Clem scoffs at the idea that they should just kill the zombies and get the key because they asked "to be left alone" and would seemingly prefer to put AJs life at risk instead........sorry....what? clem is constantly banging on about "lessons" to make sure he doesnt take unnecessary risks and protect himself then leans towards sending him into a potentially dangerous area with no easy way out just because of a note even though it would be kinder to let the people rest in any case.....

I just didnt like the broken logic in that equation. Just seemed like a poor attempt to give the player a moral dilemma when there wasnt one. Clem has seen MUCH more get sacrificed in order to stay alive throughout the seasons so its not like shes naive to that fact. This was nothing in comparison.

"I know how great I am and how shit I am, don't let the bastards get you down, the ones who have written you off."

You can't give me a reason, I don't need one to shine, You can't give me a feeling 'cause it's already mine

Re: The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Wow. Amazing episode. Maybe the best Telltale episode to date.

If anyone was on the fence, buy it.

I wonder how dark it'll get..

Spoiler for EP1:
Were those girls given off to be sex slaves?

Don't think they'll go that far... The backlash would be huge.

Creepy as fuck to demand kids to come with them though.

Prediction: Next EP Clem and your new BFF volunteer to go with the adult group.

They'll try to find the girls, and the others will come to rescue them all.
