Telltale has released a Story Builder for the new game, which is now available to pre-order ahead of itís release later this month. Your choices are synced to your Telltale account, which you can then carry forward into the game...
I really want to like the game, but I don't know. Not hooked yet. Maybe I should play that demo. But I'm not a fan of new bland colors, and the story seems to be the same: they find a group, they find conflict, walkers arrive, everybody dies, we walk away. Doesn't seem like a final chapter of anything, just another chapter.

Re: The Walking Dead: The Final Season
series 1 was amazing but series 2 didnt do much for me tbh. I felt telltale messed up by building up...luke was it? then just killing him off in a forgettable affair because as I assume people were predicting that you would have to choose between him and jane so they killed him off early to throw people off.
overall the deaths are the biggest problem in the telltale series from my view. the choices lost weight after a time because if you were forced to choose between two characters then the one you saved would end up dead anyway a couple of episodes later to reduce the amount of branching storylines and pull everyone back into a single storyline. I remember whoever you saved in the first episode of series 1 didnt appear in episode 2 beyond about 30 seconds (they stayed at camp) and then they died at the start of episode 3 so they always made sure to keep things running along a similar path no matter what happens.
The series presents itself as a quantic dream type game where your choices really matter but they really dont, the endings dont change, you just get superficial differences in dialogue. Thats probably the biggest reason why I havnt bothered with it after series 2. Once you realise how linear it really is then the its appeal drops away.
Just feels weird playing a fairly simple game that prides itself on choices but those choices dont actually make any difference to the progression of the story in the long run. Its basically a comic book in the form of a game. Games like heavy rain or detroit become human offer much better experiences in terms of making choices.

You can't give me a reason, I don't need one to shine, You can't give me a feeling 'cause it's already mine
