Sorry if I'm the only one not on the hype train but knowing Square it wont be out for another 3-4 years
I rather prefer HD remakes / re-masters of old classics over this current generation of games. But different strokes for different folks.

I'm reading Sony is involved with the game, so first PS4 and an eventual PC release is likely. Xbox One and Wii U is highly unlikely.

X-2's combat is good, but I still much prefer X's. I think 12 is a very mediocre game and that's due to the constant dungeon crawling and boring combat.

Most fans dislike X-2, but it had the best combat system by far IMO. The dresspheres were awesome.

So many parallels with X-2 and XIII

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake - Official Thread

I did like the job, dress and combat system of X-2 except that the girls were incredibly over-powered throughout making the combat a complete and utter joke. Also, I didn't feel like playing again after I destroyed the final boss with only 75% odd completion the first time.

I'm sure there were parts of the game that you couldn't complete without leveling up your characters, but as far as the main game was concerned, the girls were far too over-powered to be even remotely enjoyable.

Whatever direction they take with FFVII, I just hope that at least 95% of the content makes it (including all the side-quests and extras) and that the main story fights aren't easy as fuck like recent FF games.

the difficultly of the original was fine, they should go with that or do it like the FF 1 game where they have a hard mode too.
