I miss real Final Fantasy.
Looks great graphically....but...the lack of turn based, or even being able to play each characters action individually really bothers me. If it's anything like that piece of crap new FF, I may actually pass on this. Not interested in hack n slash FF where magic and summons are fucking useless.

Agreed. I have no desire for spamming the attack button like I'm rushing through a random battle to become the primary way to play the game. I hear all this crap how ATB is out of date, but I find myself laughing at that idea.

No one has ever really tried to update it, really.

As for switching characters, most of the games that ditch the turn based model, except for FFXII, I would say, ever incentivize you for doing so. Usually they're just another play style, if that.

Square should look at games like Child of Light for the future of FF, not Advent Children.

I'm also sick of Nomura's overused FFVIII art style. The style he did for the real VII had character and didn't put me to sleep.

100% Hell, does it even need updating? Pokemon still shits out turn based and it sells like hotcakes. Hell what am I saying, the best rpg of 2018 was turn based. PERSONa 5 BITCHES! Plenty of newer style games have turn based an do well. I'm so tired of games trying to mass appeal and shitting on their core base. Kind like of WWE really lol

Like I said earlier, all the people claiming turn based is out of date dont know what they are talking about when two of the best party based RPGs this generation are Persona 5 and Dragon Quest XI, both turned based.

And even last gen, Lost Oddessy was amazing on xbox 360 and that is what I want from a FF game.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake - Official Thread

Apparently, SquareEnix have just delayed a major game. All I can say is, if it is FF7R, that sure didn't take long!

Chances are it is the Avengers game though.

Promising stuff. Very detailed info on the game, someone is either with too much time on their hands or this is in fact, all legit. If so, the demo is coming very very soon.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake - Official Thread

Is it March yet?

The press release does NOT mention multiple parts.
