When Dolph first did his return I was thinking he might actually beat Kofi because Vince loves sudden return championship wins and also the subject matter and way it was being sold was compelling.

But now I think this feud is just gonna transition into Ziggler vs Kofi Vs Owens at the next PPV and then Dolph will just step again. They didn't progress the feud at all on Smackdown and there's one week left so I don't think they're doing a Big E heel turn like I thought Vince might be or anything's gonna come from this.

I mean supposedly the only reason Dolph even has this match at Super Showdown is because Owens didn't want to go. So while I like the storyline reasoning for Ziggler's attack on Kofi, he's just a filler opponent.

But yes I could then see a 3 Way at the next PPV. Honestly both of those guys will be short term obstacles until Kofi runs into either Brock or Roman.

is Kofi vs roman what's gonna kill AEW? shit is lazy. I wanna believe Vince is actually gonna be ballsy for the sake of better television and content but idk
