I am for union but I am sure it would kill wrestling period. For one thing, it would open the door to real life lawsuits to AEW, WWE, NWA, etc. Also, "unsafe work environment" is a legal term in America so we may not see extreme matches like Hell in the Cell, TLC, Ladder matches, etc. Also, there is potiential of wrestlers going on strike meaning no programming. The ones who want a union will be the first ones complaining. This is the dumbest thing I read in the forum.

But you watch it on piracy websites, you said above, so overall you still like the product? So you are spending your time watching the program, but it is not worth 10$ ? Why are you watchting it then so many hours a month? Sorry, I don`t get your logic.
I don't watch RAW and Smackdown I haven't really for the majority of the year. Because I watch an odd PPV every few months doesn't mean I enjoy the product. I always kinda try to keep up with it to see if it gets good or interesting. And fuck no I will never give WWE money. Honestly if any company deserves to get there shit illegally streamed and pirated, it's WWE. You can come at me from a moral standpoint, I don't care. Vince is an evil man and I will steal his product illegally and not bat an eye. I will give money and support people and companies that deserve it. If I want to support Zelina Vega I could just subscribe to her Only Fans and she will get my money directly without the WWE filter. WWE should burn.

How cool would it be to have nerdy 'Andrea Zuckerman' (Gabrielle Carteris) from 'Beverly Hills 90210' help push the introduction of a union for wrestlers.

Between Gabrielle Carteris and Andrew Yang, VKM is going to have to 'Bow To The Masters' that make him all his millions.

This is disgusting. Velveteen Dream gets a pass after inappropriately messaging minors, but you draw the line at someone using Twitch? (which was a fucking ridiculous mandate regardless).

One of the worst things WWE has done in a while. Zelina was heavily featured on Raw for much of this year, and they seemed set to transition her more towards being a wrestler, not just a manager- but they've dropped her without warning because of Vince's draconian decree.

Firing a Latina woman in this political climate for pushing back against a dumb employment restriction that raises the very valid question of why they aren’t considered employees in the first place is basically the definition of ‘it’s a bold strategy, Cotton.’

why is her being latina an issue and why do you not see a problem with that?

It would appear the user is the kind of person whom is willing to bow to social pressure as opposed to holding each wrestler to their contract. However if it was a white male I assume the poster would have less of an issue. Kinda sounds racist. I get what the user means but race/gender should never offer protection from company policy.

That's basically the way I see it. I more than ever dislike the ethics of WWE and find the McMahon's to be the ugly faces of capitalism. Though I buy the network once or twice per year because I like alot of the talent and catch up with some stuff. Considering I used to buy most PPVs, frequently went to live events and bought merch. Can justify 20 per annum.

She really sounds heartbroken.

While she sits in a cosplay outfit and a bra and panties half the time collecting thousands of dollars from lonely men online. She chose that over WWE. Thats her right, but excuse me if I dont have a box of tissues on hand.

First, the user is a 39 y/o black male who lost his 6 year accounting job earlier this year because he told 2 other black chicks to be careful about audits and not to email a clients confidential info to other clients. But because they were black and women I was automatically in the wrong and canned. So don't come at me with that 'bow to social pressure' crap.

Secondly, if it was such company policy then they would've cracked down on it when more wrestlers started streaming. But what happened? They let them do it anyway. And Vince got wind of how much money they were making on the side, that is when they decided to pull the plug. Can't have the employees...excuse me...'INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS' making a chunk of change on the side. Nope that's a no go. Like I said in a different thread, it wouldn't be me. I'll tell Vince right to his face that he can suck my dick from the back. WWE doesn't own my spare time or my real name.

Thirdly, for those of you are saying, "Why does her race matter? Why does her gender matter?" You know why it matters? BECAUSE THAT'S THE TIME AND CLIMATE WE LIVE IN RIGHT NOW. And I'm not even bumping heads with y'all because you're right it shouldn't be this way but it is. Does it suck? Yes. Is it fair? No. But if some of you think for a second...one solitary second that someone wouldn't try to work that in there like I said, you all are naive. Am I wrong? 'Bow to social pressure'. scoffs BOW TO DEEZ NUTS.

And one more thing, "it's a bold strategy Cotton". Are you telling me that none of you have ever seen Dodgeball??? You people disgust me.

EDIT: Spelling and a couple typos.

Eh hmmm.

First it needs to be made clear I will not bow to anyone’ nuts.

Second, "it's a bold strategy Cotton" is in fact a great movie quote from a good flick. People do need to brush up!

Lastly, I appreciate you taking the time to write an informative reply as most would have just told me to piss off. Even though we may not see eye to eye on everything I do respect you and your opinion.

Way to have empathy. She shouldn't have to be forced to give up her side hustle because WWE wants to control all their talents lives. She stood up for herself and she said no to them. I can respect that more then the guys who just shut up and do what the WWE forces them to do.

Here's another way to explain it. You're a mechanic at CARFIXINZ and you make decent money. You decide you want to work waiting tables on the weekend for some extra bucks and to meet people.

CARFIXINS finds out and says either you give us all of your money from your tips, or stop working there, or you will be fired.

Seems legit.

Bad analogy, Zelina is using her likeness\star power as a WWE performer in the entertainment business to make extra money on the side in the entertainment business

If she put on a mask and didn't let everyone know she was Zelina Vega and started an onlyfans, then that would be different.

I agree.

A huge component of WWE's business model is that they make wrestlers into celebrities (of a level).

And by doing this fans want to gain pictures, autographs, merchandise, conversations and sometimes just be in the presence of. Which the wrestler and WWE in turn then profit from.

What Zelina did was cut out the WWE from it share. Just because Twitch, Onlyfans didn't exist a few years back and so is not contracted for, does not mean this is not WWE's domain.

Now if she'd stayed on Impact, became a celebrity and done these things then everything would be hers.

Nah he's got a point that's really a silly thing to do when you are working for the biggest organization in Pro Wrestling today, Sure you can hustle to survive but when the powers that be come calling you have to make a wise decision and unfortunately she picked the stupid one albeit a dodgy service over her passion.

I can't even begin to fathom why she didn't just stick with the company that illustrates where you want to be as a wrestler unless she already started to feel bitter which wasn't evident.

Wrong. Shes not waiting tables. Shes selling pics of herself in lingerie on the biggest homemade porn site in the world while working for a publically traded company on TV.

What an absolutely idiotic comparison. What she should have done is just kept her twitch like Paige and dared WWE to pull the trigger so she could keep the moral high ground. Instead she got greedy...(Im pretty sure between her twitch money and her and her husbands WWE contracts, they arent living on Ramen noodles, especially now that they dont have to travel) and needed more lonely weirdo money so she started an onlyfans and GAVE WWE an easy out and the moral high ground. No one did that to her but her.
