Embrace your inner mark. Its took me awhile bringing up this list but ive also had massive fun remembering certain things in my head and also a little visit to youtube here and their. I expect to see these lists full of bias and full of your favorite generations superstars. Alot of my list is comppiled from when I was younger, as I wouldnt class myself as an avid fan now, more a casual viewer. Here's mine....... My top 50 wrestlers ever, not just in ring but total package.

50. Konnan
49. Raven
48. "DX" Billy Gunn
47. Rick Steiner
46. Juvi
45. Norman Smiley
44. Kane
43. Kevin Nash
42. Rey Mysterio
41. Raven
40. CM Punk
39. Sean O' Haire
38. Alex Wright
37. Curt Hennig
36. Randy Savage
35. Arn Anderson

As you can probably see so far I was more of a WCW child.

34. Dean Malenko
33. Chris Jericho
32. Psychosis
31. Val Venis
30. Christian
29. Jeff Hardy
28. The Undertaker
27. Al Snow
26. Edge
25. The Giant/Big Show

8. Billy Kidman
7. Ric Flair
6. Triple H
5. DDP
4. Chris Benoit (the wrestler not the man)
3. X-pac
2. The Rock
1.Sting

Their is my totally biased list, mainly featuring people from the era I enjoyed, with 1 or 2 exceptions.

Its took me awhile to compile this list with many cuts and chopping and changing, I've tried to stick strictly to people who actually wrestled so you may notice the lack of Vince, Bischoff, JR, Schiavone etc...... You will be surprised how fun this can be putting together. Its controversial and some big superstars are quite high up the list but I've based this on my enjoyment only and the time I was mostly invested in wrestling. Yours?

1 oversight on my part, Kurt. Vinny Mac also but I went for wrestlers only otherwise Bischoff would of been top 10 and Vinny Mac top 15. Good call on Gangrel also.

I think Shane is very underrated. He could put on better matches than half of the current roster.
Definitely, he put his body on the line but I see my list as full time wrestlers, whilst Shane's matches were brutal I still class him as something in the middle of a part time and full time wrestler. Thats not to take anything away from the guy though. See, the fun on debating the lists haha.

Kurt Angle (even though I think he's extremely overrated)
Can we talk about this? Kurt Angle was the total package: Charisma, Wrestling Ability, Flexibility to be Heel or Face, exciting moveset....I don't see what he's lacking.

My list is based on who I want to see the most in that order. I haven't made this list based on whether they're good, bad, best at any particular thing. It's entirely based on how much enjoyment I get from their presence on my screen in the WWE only. (And I had trouble coming up with more than 20 right now)..

1. Warrior (Personal reasons and they're biased as fuck - so haters deal with it).
2. HBK
3. Punk
4. Bryan
5. Jericho
6. The Shield (Rollins>Ambrose>Reigns in that order)
7. Orton
8. HHH
9. The McMahons (Shane probably at the front of it all)
10. Paul Heyman
11. Batista
12. Zeb Coulter
13. AJ Lee
14. Bret Hart
15. Rey Mysterio
16. Mick Foley
17. Sting
18. Cena
19. Macho Man (Ms. Elizabeth and Sherri fall here)
20. Chyna (pre-implants)/Sable

all of those things are true. However, he's still overrated. One thing people have to understand is that overrated =/= bad. Just that considering how many people call him the best wrestler ever, he would be overrated. Specific reasons?

-technically, his ring work is good. The first couple of Kurt Angle matches you watch will be fast paced, exciting and laden with...stuff. Shit going on. But he's also extremely repetitive and if you've seen one Angle match, you've seen most of them. His best work was with Samoa Joe, IMO. Because it was different. After Lesnar, I don't think Angle's WWE matches are all that cool or unique.

If it's a tv match where he's a face, then you know that before the 1st commercial break, he'll have been beat down a little but suddenly got the upper hand with an exploder suplex etc. etc, I think you get my point here. General repetitiveness.

-His mic work is or can be above average. But his character severly lacked for the rest of his career after the "troll face" gimmick. As a face, he's just an intense dude. As a heel he's a hot head who resorts to cheating if you break his Ankle Lock. To me, his character was and uninteresting for almost all of his career. Until, again, Samoa Joe turned him into a desperate, vulnerable veteran.

Those are reason enough, as I'm big on character. I really can't be engaged by guys who have none. So his world title reigns always felt flat to me. I didn't even like Rey and was glad to see Rey win at WM22 and after he won the WHC battle royal I stopped really following SD because I was simply not interested in him. Ironically, his best work (with Joe) gets the least recognition.

I respect your opinion but when I read your words, I feel like you think of Angle as "good".....Let's be clear : Angle is one of the greatest of all time. Like him or not, I think we should all agree on that. When I read you, T think YOU are the one who underrate Kurt Angle.
In a ring, he's the total package : strengh, agility, stamina, speed, "craziness".....he's elite.
With a mic, he's also very talented and can be extremely fun....

Well, I won't force you to like Angle. As I say, everyone is entitled to his opinion but he's definitly one of the best of all time.

Honestly, you could probably count on 1 hand how many wrestlers have a different formula for every match. I'm not saying everyone is Cena, but they all have a general gameplan with 5-6 signatures they need to hit at certain times in each match. You simply cannot ignore his work with Benoit during their feud. That is the greatest exchange of technical wrestling I've EVER seen. Intense moments, back and forth, no one really dominated any set, and you always thought it could go both ways. As for mic work, he was one of the best in the early 2000's to draw legitimate heat with his seemingly oblivious "holier than thou" gimmick. "Why do people boo me? I'm an Olympic Gold Medalist. I defended this country while you sat on your ass and ate pizza. *booooo* Oh it's true." Angle was admittedly a textbook coward heel at times, but it worked for him and his persona. It never got old, it's just what we expected.

I'll agree that he started to drop off after Mania(broken neck), but all of his work leading up to that point was golden.

Strength, speed, agility, stamina, intensity... He has all of these in abundance, for sure. However, the sum all of that does not necessarily make someone an amazing in-ring talent. What I'm saying is he was repetitive and lacked psychology and emotion. So I was never attached to most of his matches. If there's no *click*, no connection, no mental/emotional investment whatsoever then it doesn't matter how many boxes he can check off in terms of technical prowess.

That's not to say I can't enjoy matches that aren't overtly emotional or "important". Because I can find some of that in any common tv match...if I am AT ALL invested in the characters involved. Even a little. That's why it always comes down and back to character for me. It's the be all, end all. If you have no character then I'm not going to enjoy anything you do.

His feud with Samoa Joe proves he's better than good. That he's capable of amazing work, in fact. But he's not consistent with it. And the majority of his career leaves me confused as to why so many think he's one of the best. Let alone *the* best.

Everyone has a general game plan but Kurt's was too strict and it carried over to his PPV matches. Which, say what you will about Trips, Cena, Orton, and everyone else with a formula, they have few 20+ minute matches that are as same as I found many of Angles.

To be honest, the Benoit matches are everything you described and more (the reason I even still acknowledge such a horrible human being) but this all kind of plays into my above post. Kurt can be amazing but he was never consistently amazing and his character not really existing plays a bg part in that.

I've never done this before, so I'll try as much as I can. First 10-15 are easy but then it becomes more of a challenge and is in no specific order.

Chris Benoit
Randy Orton
Brock Lesnar
Undertaker
Stone Cold Steve Austin
The Rock
Eddie Guerrero
Shawn Michaels
Ric Flair
Kurt Angle
John Cena
Chris Jericho
Rey Mysterio
Daniel Bryan
Triple H
Mick Foley
Edge
Christian
Bret Hart
Rob Van Dam
Sheamus
Batista
Finlay
Antonio Cesaro
Jake Roberts
Kane
Mark Henry
JBL
Hulk Hogan
Shelton Benjamin
Dean Malenko
Big Show
Vince McMahon
Shane McMahon
Jonathan Coachman
Tajiri
Booker T
Seth Rollins
Goldust
MVP
William Regal
Jerry Lawler
Umaga
Jeff Hardy
Matt Hardy
Trish Stratus
Mickie James
Victoria
Stephanie McMahon
The Dudleyz (as a tag team)

Was pretty much filling spots after 30 or so. But all of them have qualities I'm a fan of and in the case of the divas, I took more than just the eye-candy factor for the inclusion. Would also include more old school legends like Funk and Macho Man but I need to see more of their work for it to feel genuine.
