Ziggler competed for the WWE Title last year in a SummerSlam program with Dean Ambrose. The actual match was nothing to write home about but the promos building up to the match were some fiery material delivered well by Ziggler.
I don't see the issue with him competing in the MITB Ladder Match this year. He's another body to take bumps off the ladder.
Ziggler's just in the MITB match because he technically can be slotted there as a former world champion, so he does have some star power, even with as dim as it may be.
It's also really early in the Hardys' current run to really say much yet. I think eventually they'll break away from each other as solos eventually, they might be waiting to see what happens to the Broken stuff first.
I guess I'm one of the few people who actually like Dolph Ziggler. The man can work and it's fine that he's in the latter match or whatever but I wish the men could have competed for the spot. SmackDown is the "Land of Oppurtunities" so it should have been earned.
Really? He's been back in the company for < two months and isn't a singles wrestler. Doesn't fit your own thread title name. He's also complete trash and I'm sure most would rather Matt be the singles uppercard guy.
What's wrong with Ziggler? He works very hard and he has accomplished a lot in his career. He deserves to be in the MITB match and more. He actually deserves another WWE title run. Or U.S. title at least.
Jeff Hardy will be in the main event picture once him & Matt break up.
I still think Dolph needs that 1 year away from WWE. He needs a rest and has burned out in the company now. Fans and WWE creative are just not interested in him. There's nothing for him, the roster is stacked with fresher talent, and it pushes Dolph further and further down.
I say Ziggler needs time away, he is a hard worker and you can tell he works his ass off but he is doing it for nothing in the end.
Take some time away come back 18 months down the line and who knows what will happen. But as of right now the man.
As for Jeff its a matter of waiting and seeing where WWE will take him, I guess they are waiting for this whole Broken settlement with Anthem and Impact to sort out, as soon as it does they'll drop the tag titles and go their separate ways. No doubt Jeff will move away from the tag division and back into his singles role (even though I don't really count the tag division as a mid card but whatever)
Im not gonna lie, Ive never liked ziggler much, always saw him as a new billy gunn then he got bored with that and he went all shawn michaels wearing the tights and using the superkick as his main finisher, I dont mind guys using these reference things but he just looks like he got up one morning and said "I love hbk, im shawn michaels now".
HOWEVER I will totally agree that the guy deserves more than what hes getting and Im not happy about orton winning the rumble in 2017 either.
