The one benefit to that group being done and they don't take it. Kairi's involvement is ruining Asuka's career even more. Typical, but whatever, it doesn't even matter at this point.

 

I'm starting to get the feeling that Asuka may be returning soon and will feud with Iyo.

A - Put her in a tag team

B - Use her to put over Iyo to prove how much "better" Iyo is than her

Surprised nobody has posted here yet about Asuka's returning. She's finally back in 6 days.

And for the speculation above that she may be facing Iyo? I'd very much enjoy that feud if built well. They could call back to the triple tails. Put Kairi in the middle of the two of them, torn between two friends. Callbacks to the Sky Pirates in NXT and Kabuki Warriors, and even Damage Control. There's a lot there to work with. Let them do promos in Japanese too. That was hillaroius.

 

She's not facing Iyo. And I don't know why anyone would want that, that would be the worst thing for her. It is not going to go well for her. Triple H will serve her to Iyo on a platter.

 

Plenty of us would enjoy that. Yes, even if Iyo wins the feud, IF it is done well and is entertaining, with plenty focus on both of them. We'd take that over a boring title reign for Asuka with zero focus on herself and her being the force to overcome or fall to, in somebody else's story, that she has been booked as so often before.

We want to enjoy the show and appreciate Asuka for her entertainment and work in and out of the ring. It's nice when she wins, but winning fake combat contests isn't everything. Some of her best and most entertaining moments have had nothing to do with titles.

 

It's so weird that they just kind of slipped her into the tournament. They could have done a mystery entrant or something, like they did for the men's tournament.

 

They didn't want her as a mystery entrant because they wanted people to have time to process that she was going to be in the match. If she was a mystery entrant and people were caught off guard, she would become the crowd favourite for that match and people wouldn't want Stephanie to win, and they can't have that.

 

Yeah, I thought it might be something like that. When I saw she was in the match with Stephanie I knew that's why they weren't going to make a big deal about her return. Asuka should get a good pop when she comes out next week though.

Before you watch this, make sure the audio track is set to Japanese to hear Asuka's actual voice. For some reason, the default audio track, which is set to English, is some shitty AI dub of her voice that makes no sense. If you set it to Japanese, you'll hear Asuka speak in (good) English (For all you morons who think Asuka can't speak English - it's almost like WWE wants her to be an exaggerated caricature) and Japanese both.

So happy to see her happy, revitalized and refocused after that terrible start of the year she had. Only good things for Kana.

She's about to lose to Rhea, lose to Iyo, Iyo is about to beat Stephanie Vaquer and become the champion again to further illustrate how much better (to Triple H) and how much more successful she is than Asuka, erasing her legacy, and then Kairi will turn on her for her troubles.
