Just five years after WCW and ECW went under and were bought by WWE an even bigger challenger emerged. This company was the XWC, Xtreme Championship Wrestling. It was owned by Ted Turner and ran by Paul Heyman, after he failed to sign a new contract with WWE in late 2005. Ted Turner was out looking for revenge for what Vince Mcmahon had done to his WCW in the late 90s. He eventually stole alot of WWE's talent, but Mcmahon put up a good fight purchasing TNA and ROH to gain quality wrestlrs which would help put up a fight. After 3 years of the second Monday Night Wars, Vince Mcmahon's WWE won and bought out the XWC, however Vince, who'd never been to fond of the name WWE since the lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund, decided to keep the name XWC. He kept all of the big talents and began the new era of sports entertainment, dividing the roster into two shows; Raw and Smackdown! The new era began with XWC No Mercy in late 2008. A Raw only Pay Per View

No Mercy Results:
-Alex Shelley and Michael Shane def. Edge and Christian for the Raw Tag Team Championship when Edge turns on Christian and nails him with a steel chair.

-AJ Styles def. Rey Mysterio, Paul London, Chavo Guerrero, Christopher Daniels and Juventuud Guerrera for the XWC Cruiserweight Championship in a six way Ladder Match after hitting the Styles Clash on London.

-John Bradshaw Layfield def. Rob Conway for the Television Title with a Clothesline from Hell following interference by Ron Simmons.

-America's Most Wanted vs The Hardy Boyz (No Contest) after Kane's music hit and he destroyed both teams.

-Brock Lesnar def. Bill Goldberg and Chris Benoit in a Triple Threat Match to become number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship after F-5ing Goldberg.

-Ric Flair def. Shawn Michaels with a Figure Four Leglock to become DOA of Raw.

-Randy Orton def. CM Punk, Jeff Jarrett, Undertaker, Kane and Bret Hart in a 6way Hell In A Cell Match to become the new World Heavyweight Champion
