Anyone else tired of WWE bringing the real life issues of it's wrestlers into the ring? Doing storylines about real life events that happened in a wrestlers life are never that good. This current Punk/Jericho feud is proof of that. It just seems like lazy booking, faster to make a storyline out of some real life issue than it is to come up with something new. Anyone else think they should stop with these types of feuds?

It's fine on occasion, when something that's happened in real life is actually interesting to start with (Edge/Lita/Matt, for example), but when the real lives of the superstars become to be relied on, that's where the problems start.

It's a great way to bring in real emotion to a feud a la Matt Hardy vs. Edge or Punk vs. Jeff Hardy. It can come off of as lazy booking, but if you have something there why not use it? How they handle what they are presented with is up to them and at times it isn't handled well, again a la Matt Hardy vs. Edge.

As long as they don't use it often, and the superstars involved are ok with it.

Imagine them turning a backstage feud into a storyline and the superstars involved don't want to work with the other guy, then we end up with real bad matches, possible injuries and stuff like that.

I think nowadays, with all the rehashed storylines and used up and predictable things, there's pretty much no way to do things anymore other than to inject real issues especially with the way the internet has destroyed wrestling.
