WWE's Plans For Kofi Kingston - Receives Rave Reviews

WWE are considering another singles run for Kofi Kingston hence why he went up against Dolph Ziggler on last night's Raw. The match received rave reviews backstage.

Kofi tweeted:
“I know anytime I’m in there with @HEELZiggler the match could go either way. This one goes to Ziggler. Hats off. We will fight again.”
I'm really hope they move him back to singles competition. That match against Ziggler was great. Those two have very good chemistry with each other. I know this isn't a main event push but still its a move in the right direction for him. NO NEED FOR A HEEL TURN! He is ready to be a main event face in WWE. He has all the tools to be one.

If they move him back to singles competition, he will probably be going after the US or IC title. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this and what do you think they will do with him?

Good news, the guy has a ton of potential and could be a believable main event face imo

Marketable, good and exciting in the ring, solid on the mic and appeals to the core demographic of the company

I've always liked him and with the right push he could be a huge star

I see nothing in him. The match with Ziggler was good. Aside from that I've yet to be impressed with him, and as of right now I have no reason to care about him.

He's good. I like him. His mic skills need some work, but there are very few naturals on the mic. I think it can be taught.

He'd be a good choice to feud with Cesaro over the US Title in my opinion.

NO please.Kofi vs Ziggler i have seen 100x those two wrestler against each other ENOUGH.Also Ziggler always wins.
And thus, the formula lives on. Lose tag team titles -> instant division and partner departure.
I also think he has potential especially as a babyface. At first I didn't mind his run as a tag team partner with R Truth, but the little jimmy skits were pretty stupid and to just watch Kofi act out the "shrug whattaya do about imaginary friends just roll with it" attitude seemed to get tiring on his character. R Truth in general...I never understood how his character even made it onto tv. Kofi seems like he can actually hold his own in the singles division.

It's a shame it took them so long. Well, actually is Randy Boreton's fault...

I agree. I have no reason to like the guy. The match with ziggler was really good. The only time he was interesting is when he feuded with Orton. I give kofi credit he is a good wrestler.

Thats what I think will happen or he could feud with Truth. If he moves back to singles competition they might turn Truth heel to break up the tag team and give him something to do.
He could be a top babyface on Smackdown, and that's about as far as he can go.

He'll get another Intercontinental or U.S. title run.

I'd rather it be Miz since he's a better choice and is holding the more prestigious title.

nothing more then a mid-carder imo.
Dude's boring on the mic, and basically only jumps very high and smiles frequently. I'll happily skip his matches each week, as they do nothing for me.

Unless I hear the following day that he did some crazy spot, I rarely watch a Kofi match
Kofi deserves a push and has for a long time. His matches are consistently very good, he is decent on the mic and always gets a reaction despite little-to-no storylines of any significance. I was really into him during his feud with Orton and it's a shame they killed off the push and gave him little to do since.

Honestly, I'm surprised that it's taken them this long to get serious about Kofi. He has his shortcomings but he absolutely proved in the Orton feud that he could be something more substantial than just generic midcard face #3097.

I still don't see Kofi as a main eventer. He's good in the ring but what else does he really bring to the table at this point? People harp on heels like Rhodes, Ziggler, and Miz for not having defined personas but Kingston is in the same boat only with more mic restrictions since he's a face.
