WWE Xperience Information

The following post is to update you on the changes within the WWE Xperience. I’m going to start with the Roster changes. You’ve already been informed of who’s been released. I will give you a background on some of the newer WWE talent.

Shane Twins - They were brought into the WWE by the Million $ Man Ted DiBiase. If you’re wondering why DiBiase has brought in these two men to start his new Million $ Corporation, then let me tell you. DiBiase formed a now extinct wrestling promotion known as WXO Wrestling. The WXO was mainly focused on old school wrestling, but with a modern day twist. Anyways, the Shane Twins appeared in the WXO, forming a relationship with DiBiase. DiBiase was recently brought into the WWE as a Road Agent, but felt that the position wasn’t right for him and asked Theodore Long for a Manager position on SmackDown. Long had no problem offering DiBiase the position. DiBiase has recently brought in the Shane Twins, who has been on a role in the SmackDown tag team scene.

Disciples of Doom – This is a new tag team trying to make a name for themselves. They have competed in a few dark matches, destroying their competition in every bout. With Christian being drafted over to SmackDown in the re-draft, Tyson Tomko was left on Raw without a friend forcing him to return to OVW for a short period of time. Tomko later returned to the Raw roster with Brent Albright. Although the two have not yet competed on a Raw telecast, as stated above, they have competed in a few dark matches. Most people in the WWE are comparing the team to the Powers of Pain, which was a tag team from the late 80’s managed by Mr. Fugi.

Matt Morgan – Matt Morgan has been referred to as the “New Big Thing”, although it’s not a name he refers himself to. Morgan has been using the F5 as his finishing move. Morgan showed great strength by F5ing the Big Show one three separate occasions, even defeating Show in a match. Aside from his feud with the Big Show, Morgan has won 4 separate Handicap matches, with one being against Bob Holly and Charlie Haas. Morgan is definitely on his way to stardom in the WWE.

Super Crazy – For those of you that didn’t follow ECW, Super Crazy entered ECW in 1998 and had an amazing feud with Tajiri. Super Crazy was also formerly known as Super Loco in the WWF days, as he competed in the first ever tournament to crown the first ever Light-Heavyweight Champion. He has recently begun another feud with Tajiri, as Tajiri was also drafted over to SmackDown in the re-draft.

Juventud Guerrera - Juvi is best known for his time is WCW, where he was crowned the Cruiserweight Champion on 3 separate occasions, and a Tag Team Champion with friend Rey Mysterio on one occasion. Juvi was a member of The Filthy Animals, along with Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, and Konnan. After WCW went under, Juvi joined up with NWATNA as a part of Team Mexico. Juvi made his WWE debut on an edition of SmackDown. He competed in a Cruiserweight Invitational at Judgment Day.

Psychosis - Psychosis is also know for his stint in WCW, where he as well became a Cruiserweight Champion on two separate occasions. Psychosis had some classic feuds with Rey Mysterio, Juventud Guerrera, and Billy Kidman. Psychosis also competed in the Cruiserweight Invitational at Judgment Day.

WWE Xperience Background

Just like the “real”, my WWE “Xperienced” a re-draft in June as well. As you already know from reading above, Christian and Tajiri were drafted over to SmackDown. As for the 3 other superstars that went over to SmackDown, they were Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and Daivari. The 5 superstars that Eric Bischoff drafted over to Raw were Kurt Angle, Heidenreich, Hardcore Holly, Mark Jindrak, and Rene Dupree.

From there the WWE went on and new feuds and storylines began, but ratings remained low, forcing Vince McMahon to do something he thought he would never have to. During SmackDown’s Great American Bash PPV, Vince McMahon made an appearance informing everyone involved with the SmackDown Brand to attend Raw the next night as he has a major announcement to make that will not only effect the WWE, but the entire wrestling industry.

The next night on Raw, Vince McMahon made his way out as the entire world watched to see what Vinnie Mac had to say. Vince then informed the world that at SummerSlam the Brand Extension would end, and all titles will be unified at that very PPV. He informed the World Champs that they may possibly fight twice that night, as they will each defend there titles at the PPV, but each champion after that match will later go on to face each other to crown an Undisputed Champion. As for the rest of the titles, the Tag Champs will face each other, the Intercontinental Champion will face the United States Champion, and a Cruiserweight Battle Royal will be held to crown a #1 contender for Paul London’s Cruiserweight Title. He also informed everyone that due to the Brand Extension ending, there will a lot of changes in store, which includes cut backs. By this, Vince means some people will be released.

SummerSlam Match Build Ups

John Cena vs The Rock

This match is for the WWE Championship, with the winner moving on to the Main Event to face whomever the World Champion is between Batista and Kurt Angle.

The Rock made his return to the WWE on Theodore Long’s SmackDown. The Rock made a special appearance on an edition of SmackDown, where he shockingly ripped on the crowd, blaming them that his latest movie “Be Cool” not having high sales while it was in the theatres (complete storyline). He stated that the WWE fans were prejudice, and the reason why they wouldn’t go see the movie was because he played a gay-bodyguard. The Rock then went on to be one of 8 men involved in a #1 Contender Tournament, where the final two competitors would meet at The Great American Bash to declare a #1 Contender for SummerSlam. The final two were The Rock and Chris Jericho. At The Great American Bash, Theodore Long shocked the world as he aligned himself with The Rock and helped him defeat Jericho so The Great One could onto to SummerSlam and have another chance at the WWE gold.

As for John Cena, his feud with JBL ended at Judgment Day. The next Thursday on SmackDown, The Cabinet turned on JBL, injuring the former champion. JBL has been out of action since. The Cabinet then required the services of Matt Morgan to take down the WWE Champ. Frustration set in Morgan as he could not defeat the champ, and Morgan got DQ’d for hitting Cena with a chair. The ref decision to DQ Morgan, sent Morgan into a outrage that would force GM Long no choice but to suspend him, as he brutally attacked the ref, giving him an F5 from inside the ring to the outside. As other officials and came out, Morgan continued to his assault until road agents and The Cabinet came out to stop him.

Batista vs Kurt Angle

This match is for the World Heavyweight Championship. The winner of this match will face either John Cena or The Rock later in the Main Event, depending on who the WWE Champion is.

As you all know, Batista became the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 21, defeating Triple H. From there, Batista has gone on to defeat Triple H on two other separate occasions, one being at Backlash, while the other being at Vengeance in a Hell In A Cell match.

As for Kurt Angle, as you read above, Kurt was drafted over to Raw in the re-draft. From there, Kurt went on to face Shawn Michaels at Vengeance in a bloody and brutal match, where he came out victorious after some miscommunication from Michaels tag partner Marty Jannetty. The win at Vengeance declared Kurt the #1 contender, and provided him with a match for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam.

Triple H vs Ric Flair

The Nature Boy himself brought upon this match. In an attempt to take the title off of Batista, GM Eric Bischoff named Ric Flair the Special Referee for the Hell In A Cell match last month at Vengeance. During the match, Flair shocked the world as he delivered a low blow to The Game, giving Batista the opportunity to deliver a Batista Bomb to Trips. Batista then covered Triple H where Flair counted the 3 count, giving Batista the win. Batista and Flair then celebrated as they left Triple H in the cell shocked at what had just happened.

The next night on Raw, Triple H attacked Flair while Flair was in the ring explaining his actions and his alignment with Batista. Triple H brutally beat Flair, leaving Flair hospitalized. Flair did not make an appearance on Raw until last Monday (August 15), where he got into a brutal fight with Triple H, causing Eric Bischoff to come out a declare a match between the two at SummerSlam.

Hulk Hogan vs Heidenreich

At Backlash, Hulk Hogan made a one time return to team up with Shawn Michaels to take on Muhammad Hassan and Daivari. After defeating Hassan and Daivari, Hassan began challenging Hogan each and every week to a one on one contest. Hassan blamed Daivari for the loss, and stated that Hogan needs a partner to defeat him, as he can’t do it himself. Two weeks before Vengeance, Hogan surprised the world by showing up on Raw and shutting up Hassan. After, Hogan accepted Hassan’s challenge and informed him that there match would be at Vengeance.

At Vengeance, Hogan defeating Hassan, being the first superstar to due so. After the match, while Hogan was celebrating, Heidenreich came into the ring through the crowd and attacked the American Icon. Hogan had to be stretchered out of the arena.

For the next two weeks, Heidenreich came out on Raw and read poems about how he ended Hulkamania. On the third week, while Heidenreich was reading his poem, Hogan’s music erupted in the arena. The crowd went crazy as Hogan made his way to the ring. Heidenreich immediately went after Hogan, over powering him, until Hogan “hulked” up. Hogan delivered punch after punch to Heidenreich’s head, forcing him back to the ropes. Hogan then clotheslined Heidenreich over the top to the floor and ripped off his t-shirt before celebrating and posing for the crowd. A match was then made between the two to take place at SummerSlam.

The Undertaker vs Randy Orton

With Randy Orton being drafted over to SmackDown, this gave Orton his chance at redemption, after his loss to the Deadman at WrestleMania 21. Although Orton was not cleared to compete, each and every week he made an appearance on SmackDown challenging The Undertaker to another match, but every week, there was not response. Frustration set in with Orton, forcing the third generation superstar to go to depths he thought he’d never have to to get Taker’s attention. Orton showed up at Taker’s home and abducted his wife Sara. For the next few weeks, Orton would force Sara to the ring with him, acting as his valet. Little occurrences began during Orton’s time in the ring on SmackDown, such as lights flickering, thunder roaring, and smoke appearing. During one segment, the lights went out for a few seconds to come back on to show an urn in the middle of the ring. The very next week, Paul Bearer rose from the dead and interrupted Orton. Bearer informed Orton that The Undertaker would be on SmackDown the next week, and that he had accepted Orton’s challenge. The next week, while Orton waited in the ring with Sara, the lights went out and Bearer began to push a Casket down to the ring. As Bearer placed the Casket at ringside, he dared Orton to open it. At a period of hesitation, Orton opened the casket to reveal a wax replica of himself inside. While Orton starred at himself in the casket, Sara slide out of the ring and ran towards Bearer, freeing herself from Orton. A picture of casket then appeared on the Titantron. As Orton looked up towards the Titantron, the casket popped open to reveal The Undertaker inside. The Undertaker then informed Orton that a match had been made by Theodore Long at SummerSlam between Orton and himself, and the match will be a Casket match.

Big Show vs Akebono

With Show’s loss to Akebono at WrestleMania 21, other superstars in the backstage area have not been able to let Show live the Sumo-Wrestling loss down. Since the loss, Show has not been in the right state of mind, losing at two more PPV’s. One to Matt Morgan and the other to Carlito Caribbean Cool. Show thought long and hard, and came to the conclusion that the only way to settle this was to challenge the Grand Slam Sumo Champion to a wrestling match. Akebono appeared on a SmackDown and accepted Show’s challenge. The two then shook hands in what was thought to showmanship and respect for the other competitor, until Akebono pulled Show towards him and delivered a belly-to-belly slam on Show. Akebono then drug Show over to the corner where he delivered a Bonzai Drop to Show. At that moment, Akebono proved that he means business, whether it’s a Sumo-Wrestling contest or an actual wrestling contest.

Los Guerrero’s vs The Rockers vs Dudley Boyz vs Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio

With the Brand Extension ending, Undisputed Tag Team Champions have to be declared at SummerSlam. Chairman Vince McMahon ordered that the tag champs of both Raw and SmackDown would have to face each other to declare who the Undisputed Tag Champs would be. With Los Guerrero’s being SmackDown’s Tag Champs, and The Rockers being Raw Tag Champs, that partially explains why those two teams are involved in the match. Before I explain why the Dudley Boyz and RVD & Rey Rey are involved, let me explain how The Rockers and Los Guerrero’s got to be tag champs.

Two weeks after Judgment Day, on an episode of Raw, The Hurricane and Rosey lost the tag titles to La Resistance (Rene Dupree & Sylvain Grenier). The very next week, Shawn Michaels took on Rene Dupree in a first round match of a Gold Rush Tournament to declare a #1 Contender for Batista’s World Title. Michaels defeated Dupree, but after the match, Grenier hit the ring and the two men began a 2-on-1 attack on Michaels, until Marty Jannetty made his return and aided his former tag team partner. Over the next few weeks, The Rockers and La Resistance would have frequent confrontations, until finally a match was made where The Rockers left the match the new Tag Team Champions, securing them a spot at SummerSlam.

As for Los Guerrero’s, in a match that took place at Judgment Day between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, Eddie nephew Chavo aided him in a victory over Mysterio. The next week on SmackDown, Los Guerrero’s attacked Mysterio, leaving him out of action for the entire month June. During that month, Los Guerrero’s began a feud with MNM, which lead to The Great American Bash in July, where they walked out with the tag titles.

As for the Dudley Boyz and Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio, the two teams had a confrontation at ECW’s One Night Stand, which lead to a #1 Contenders match at The Great American Bash, where neither team came out victorious as the time limit in the match expired. Both teams then went to Theodore Long demanding a title shot, leaving Long only one option, to give both teams a shot. Long then added the two teams to the Tag match at SummerSlam, also making the match a TLC match.

Chris Benoit vs Edge

This match goes all the way back to WrestleMania 21, where Edge smashed Benoit in the shoulder with a chair while Benoit was climbing up the ladder to get the briefcase. Edge then climbed the ladder to grab the briefcase and cashed in, as he won the chance to receive a World Title shot at any time within the next year.

Edge hasn’t yet took the opportunity to take a shot at the champ, but Benoit has been right at Edge’s heels at every moment since WrestleMania. While Edge signed his contract the next night in Bischoff’s office, Benoit charged in and attacked Edge. The two keep at each other each and every week on Raw. The two men battled at Backlash in a singles contest where the winner would leave with the contract, but Edge nailed Benoit in the head with the Briefcase, getting DQ’d, giving Benoit the win, but not the contract. The next night on Raw, Benoit demanded another chance from Bischoff, which he was granted. That week on Raw, as Benoit had Edge in the Crippler Crossface, just as Edge was about to tap, the time limit expired and the match was declared a no contest. A rematch was again made at Vengeance, where the two would compete in a Ladder match with the Briefcase suspended above them. In this match, both men were at the top of ladder battling blow for blow when both men got the idea to grab for Briefcase. While both Edge and Benoit had their hands on the Briefcase, they began a punch for punch battle with the available hand. With all the movement back and forth, the Briefcase came loose with both men holding onto it. Officials argued back and forth over who actually won the match, but it came down to the officials agreeing that there was no way to settle this, so they declared the ladder match a No Contest. Again, Edge skimmed away from losing the chance to face the champ. With the controversial ending to the ladder match, Bischoff declared the only to settle this would be to have a Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls match between Edge and Benoit where the winner would get the Briefcase and the Money In The Bank Contract. Bischoff also declared that there would be no time limit in the match. He wanted a winner, and this match will deliver one!

Chris Jericho vs Christian

With Jericho and Christian both drafted over to SmackDown, both men wanted there chance at the WWE Championship, and both men were granted that chance, as they were both entered into the 8 men #1 Contender Tournament. In the first round, Jericho defeated Eddie Guerrero, while Christian defeated Booker T, leaving the two men facing each other in the second round. In a classic match, Jericho defeated Christian, sending Jericho to The Great American Bash to face The Rock in the final match of the Tournament. Although interference from Christian would not end the match for Jericho, it would GM Theodore Long that would. The next week on SmackDown, Long, The Rock and Christian came out and revealed that the three men were together the entire time, as they are out to get the title off of John Cena and onto The Rock. Jericho came out in a revenge attempt, but ended up getting beat two-on-one, until Cena came out to make the save. Jericho demanded a rematch against The Rock, but obviously, Long denied the chance. Eventually Long made a match where is Jericho could defeat Christian at SummerSlam in a Cage match, he could have his chance at the WWE Championship.

Shelton Benjamin vs Charlie Haas

This match will unify the Intercontinental and United States Championships into one title. Whether the title will be either the Intercontinental Title or the United States Title depends on the winner, as he will have the choice on what title he decides to carry. It’s quite obvious why Shelton is involved in this match, as he’s been the IC Champion since Taboo Tuesday. As for Haas, he recently defeated Orlando Jordan on an edition of SmackDown to become the US Champion and go onto SummerSlam to face his former tag team partner.

Paul London vs Billy Kidman

This match has a big past. It all starts with the two men being former tag team partners, where the two would eventually become tag team champs, defeating the Dudley Boyz on an edition of SmackDown. This all ended when Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree would defeat the champs, as Billy Kidman left London in the ring alone to defend the titles. Kidman would turn heel and put London out of action for 2 months. London would return and go straight after Kidman. The two would have a continues feud, with a few pit stops here and there for the two men to compete against other stars, with London winning the Cruiserweight Title in a Battle Royal. From there, London went on to defeat Chavo Guerrero at Judgment Day. London and Kidman’s feud would once again pick up where it was left off, with the two men being involved in a Cruiserweight Invitational at The Great American Bash, that also involved Juventud Guerrera, Psychosis, Tajiri and Super Crazy. With London pinned Tajiri to leave the match victorious. A Battle Royal was then held to declare a #1 Contender for SummerSlam. The Battle Royal included Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Billy Kidman, Juventud Guerrera, Psychosis, Tajiri, Super Crazy, Shannon Moore, Daivari, and Akio. Kidman and Mysterio would be the final two competitors, but with help from Chavo, Kidman would eliminate Mysterio to be declared the #1 Contender.

There you have it, a build up to each match on my SummerSlam card. Next up is the actual PPV. I hope you enjoy!
