Oh and Fiend vs Cena was a mind fuck. Was that Cena lifting those weights, pretending to be hogan? Or did Fiend give Cena 30 tabs of acid? Either way it was the weirdest match (if that can even be classified as a match) i had ever seen. I cant say it was fun, I wanted to see more action between the two. But it was intriguing and mind boggling sure but yeah Titus Oneil summed up my thoughts exactly lol
It was Wyatt implying having a ‘great’ physique doesn’t make you talented I thought? I’ll have to watch it again.

The whole thing was a lot to take in lol.

I have to say this Wrestlemania was much better than I though and is better than most Wrestlemania's I saw. Undertaker vs AJ Styles was the best movie style match I have seen in WWE. Edge and Orton give it their all wrestling for so long. Charlotte and Rhea was not bad either. My feeling is this could be Karai Sane's last Wrestlemania because she might go back to a japan promotion but I hope I am wrong. I would have loved Sasha to turn on Bayley and win the Smackdown title. Sasha has been held back too long!

It was a WWE Studio's short. Kayfabe may be dead, but the boneyard "match" seemed even faker that what they normally do in the ring.
This.
The Boneyard segment (not a match because there was not one) made the teleportation of Undertaker and Matt Hardy look realistic. Worst segment of the year easily. It was so fake and cringe that even the 24-7 challenges looked mature. You had Cena there dancing with Bray at the end and playing tag along in the promo and coming out to various outfits and then the Fiend pinning Cena with Bray as ref was complete utter epic garbage lol. This was worse than Omega vs a little girl. I'm sure Cornette even agrees.

Night 2 hasn’t lived up to night 1.

Can this rescue it?
Nope and I spoke to soon saying night 2 was heading to be better after the Edge match. Should have kept my usual restraint lol before saying the show was good overall.

Damn I miss the 80s, no idea what's going on but this is awesome!!
I miss the 80's too lol when there were crowds in the match and things like Wyatt/Cena were for promos such as Jake and the snake pit with Warrior on Saturday morning shows and not an advertised Mania match lol.

Using Cenas words against him like that was fucking epic
THAT was great.

That was awesome!

Will watch again for all the hidden symbolism.

Cena literally disappeared at the end, and was compared to Hogan’s early career + NWO career....
As a promo it was 10/10 minus Cena's cheesy acting, but that is what Cena might have been going for.

Felt like that Cena vs Bray sketch was an ode to this board preaching for years that Cena was Vince's modern version on Hulk Hogan. The comparisons, visualized.
I actually said the same thing. As if they were trolling people on this board lol. However, I also took from it that they had to use old clips to make these guys look interesting lol. NWO and SNME was larger than life than Cena ever was.

That segment with Bray vs. Cena may have saved the Fiend character. Can you imagine him doing this to 'Taker next year?
Funeral Parlor 1991 as with Warrior being locked in a casket type deal? I could see it. The Fiend puts an end to the Taker could be the next Mania plan. They already got people conditioned with the two characters for these cinematic "matches". The time warp with Taker is even deeper than what they cooked up with Cena.

I can't stand how Brock is booked.
Yeah to think this is the same guy who gave us ironman match with Kurt Angle.

Man i wish I had your eyes

Cena Vs. Wyatt felt like an IWC thread come to life. I think they went way too overboard. If Taker Vs. AJ was part one, this was like the really bad eighth sequel of a horror franchise. Also I should also add that I watched Orton/Edge on my phone, and there was so much grunting and panting, my wife thought I was watching porn. She just couldn’t figure out how the guy constantly counting to 10 figured in.

That fun house stuff would have been better as a segment on the go home show to fuck with Cena before their match.

People seem to be disappointed it wasn't an actual match.

Think in the entirety of the segment it was only at the end a move was hit and it was Bray finishing Cena with a Sister Abigail and Mandible Claw.

Definitely unique, but would I want to see it again or one of my favorite wrestlers involved in a match like that? No.

As a segment it may have been okay,...although still cringe. However it was billed as if they were going to finally battle it out, brawl, fight, or wrestle was the plan? ( Not to dance around in 80s/90s costumes making a mockery of themselves with a 15 minute promo basically mocking Cena's inner fears for the sake of confusing the audience)

A few notes from night two:

  • Rhea & Charlotte stole the night in the opening match.
  • In another world, Dolph Ziggler is a 6 time World Champion who was FOTC level. Instead he's getting his first singles WM match 16 years into his career jobbing to Otis FFS.
  • Who the hell booked the women's 5 way? Who is Bayley sleeping to still be champion? Lacey had a star making performance with a great moment had she won and you had the perfect opportunity to turn Sasha in the process of Lacey winning and Bayley still retains? huh?!?!
  • The firefly funhouse was the absolute dumbest thing Cena or Wyatt have ever been involved with, that was absolutely awful. Cena just does not care anymore.
  • Congrats to Drew, found it funny that apparently it just takes 4 finishers to beat both Brock & Goldberg.

Boneyard match - the climactic final scene to every great action movie where the good guy takes out the group of baddies.

Firefly Funhouse match - a nostalgic acid trip crossed with A Nightmare on Elm Street where the hero succumbs to the insanity.

Yeah, in a perfect world both matches would've been actual wrestling contests in a ring, but I think both nights needed something different aside from standard bouts taking place in an empty venue, and these cinematic segments were just those.

I thought night 2 was pretty damn solid for the most part. It was certainly longer than Night 1, in fact I think some matches overstayed their welcome, like the Smackdown Women's Title bout (20 minutes, really?) and Edge/Orton. I know they were going for "epic" with Last Man Standing, but it really could've used 15 minutes shaved off of the nearly 40-minute run time. Think about it this way - what will people remember in those 40 minutes? They'll remember the beginning where Orton attacked from behind, and they'll remember the finish on top of the semi trailer. The 30 minutes in between? Not so much.

Aside from those points:

  • Rhea/Charlotte was definitely in-ring match of the night.
  • Austin Theory losing all three of his TV NXT matches and getting a slot at Mania. Wow.
  • Tamina emerging from low-card purgatory and being booked like a beast. A sign of respect because her career is coming to an end soon, maybe?
  • "THIS IS SUCH GOOD SHIT!!!" Admit it, you popped.
  • Edge in tears during the LMS finish. Dug it.
  • Nights 1 and 2 showed us that it just takes four finishers to put away Goldberg and Brock. THE FORMULA HAS BEEN DISCOVERED!!!
Overall, Mania was as good as it could've been. Far from perfect, obviously, but enough to enjoy.

Pathetic.

Easily the worst WM I ever saw, and one of the worst shows I've ever watched.

The matches were just awful, and the typical a** kissing from the WWE for the Undertaker is nauseating.

The only positives I saw were 2 very deserving performers got to walk away with world championships; Strowman & McIntyre.

Styles vs Undertaker was an overproduced piece of sh** to watch, and essentially made Styles look like a jobber. How do you book a match between 2 performers where the more talented one is made to look like a shmuck? The no-selling from the Undertaker was just stupid.

Strowman vs Goldberg was garbage aside from the result. Goldberg should not be wrestling much less be a champion and I'm a Goldberg fan.

Edge vs Orton was like watching a video of paint drying. Orton and Edge both need to work on their wrestling, their moves hurt the giver more than the receiver and from a psychology perspective, makes no sense. Why would you do an RKO or that idiotic DDT move outside the ring? That stupid move of Edge swinging to Orton who was sitting on a chair was just cartoonish. The result also wasn't right. A competitor removed from an activity for 9 years was able to beat a full time active wrestler. At the very least that Goldberg vs Lesnar at SS had shock value where they showed a good story, this one was just random idiocy.

The Fiend vs Cena was by far the worst match I ever watched at a WM. Whoever booked and produced this match should be immediately fired. The match made no sense. Why couldn't they just have Wyatt beat Cena in a straight up in ring match? The Fiend act is played out.

Lesnar vs McIntyre was too short. If they were really short for time, why not scrap the Ms. Botches-A-Lotte Flair's match and give the remainder time to them? If the intention was to pass the torch to Drew, they failed miserably. It was more or less the same as the Strowman/Goldberg match. The both of them are capable of putting on a much better match than what was delivered.

They should have just scrapped WM altogether.
