- WWE officials have been talking about breaking Michael McGillicutty away from David Otunga. The idea would be to re-package him and focus more on him being a third generation wrestler.

The talk has included dropping the McGillicutty name and letting him use his real name – Joe Hennig.
Word is that a few of the top names within WWE are backing McGillicutty.

Bit unfair on Otunga, but I think McGillicutty has some latent potential he may be able to tap into if given the right guidance.

- WWE officials have been talking about breaking Michael McGillicutty away from David Otunga. The idea would be to re-package him and focus more on him being the utterly terrible wrestler he is.

The talk has included dropping the McGillicutty name and giving him a more appropriate title – Future Endeavoured.
Word is that McGillicutty is a useless sack of shit.
Fixed that for you.

WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST DO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE!?!?!?
Because they were wary of whether or not McGillicutty was ready or not to take on such a responsibility. Not sure how anything's changed, but perhaps they want to try in a last effort to save his career.

Only God knows what's going to happen to Otunga now. Perhaps he can be replaced on Raw by someone more deserving, say McIntyre.

One of these guys is going to be in the 2012 'spring cleaning.' The smart money is on Otunga, purely because he isn't a famous wrestler's son.

That's a start. Reminding everyone that he's Mr. Perfect's son will at least give McGillicuty a fighting chance.... or it could completely back-fire and highlight just how average he really is.

They should stick with John Laurinaitis' policy, “When you start performing like a Hennig, you can be a Hennig.” Should adopt that for all second/third generation stars who suck.

Cool. I actually liked Hennig back in his NXT2 days. If pushed just right and marketed just right, he can be a great midcarder.

they should of done that a year about when he showed up in NXT but no we gave him a FCW name and put him in a lame tag team. Who the hell cares for Otunga as long as hes married to Hudson hes gonna have a job

They were wary of him handling the responsibility of using his real name?

He's still alive after 30 years, so I'm guessing he can handle it for another stint.
