Just say every TV match has a 10 minute time limit. Once in a while hit a draw and have the fans/wrestlers beg for 5 more minutes, etc.

It'd be a way better solution than 2/3 falls and elimination matches and "wait a minute, I won't start the match until THIS happens" stalling techniques.
That sounds desperate and pathetic, it is a dumb and terrible idea

Time limits should be brought back. Leads to less "win loss win loss" booking since they can do draws. Just don't overdo the draws. Which WWE will, let's be honest.

Sure.

Constant 2/3 Falls matches are stupid.

You don't want to wrestle during commercials? OK, I'm not against that. But instead of having to come up with a bunch of dumb reasons to constantly start and stop matches, do time limits.

I would do 15 minute time limits and for a big match occasionally, go longer. Save the long matches for the PPV.

I see that WWE may want to start copying all elite wrestling sport style format but it's not going to work the same

Yes but I do not remember Bret, Hulk, Austin, Rock, Savage, Warrior, etc etc getting on their knees and begging for a longer match
The idea is that the fans plead for the match to go on.

I was talking about this with my Brother last night. It makes sense for the main event to have a "TV time remaining" clause with the hard television ending on the hour. Right now when it's 10:58 PM you know that someone is going to magically pull out a win in about 30 seconds. There is no suspense.

The time limit adds a sense of urgency to the final minutes of a match and is a great way to get guys over or stir up controversy. Many great moments in wrestling history involved the time limit.

Ricochet going to a thrilling time limit draw against AJ Styles the other night would have been so much better than him losing his first match as champion cleanly. He establishes that he can stand toe to toe with an all-time great and neither he nor AJ get knocked down a peg by taking the pin.

It's one more useful tool to add to the toolbox.

swear 2/3 falls matches used to special and saved for pay per views to build a story, remember 3 stages of hell, now they're being used every 2 matches. I'm down for a time limit, but maybe like 15 minutes or 20, cause u dont want to put a cap on matches that and ruin amazing matches that are going on by a short 10 minute limit

10 minutes is too far but 15 or 20 minutes is not a bad idea

Matches shouldn't have the chance to even get to a time limit draw. Free TV matches should be 6 minutes or less with fuckery and shenanigans. Spend the bulk of tv building the story. As a kid PPVs were special because it was going to be mostly wrestling and the folk feuding finally getting their hands on each other.

Nowadays if Wrestler A and Wrestler C are feuding by the time the PPV rolls around they'll have already wrestled each other 4 times in 15+ minute matches.
