Fightful Select has confirmed that WWE heavily piped in audio during Brock Lesnar's segment with Cody Rhodes on "WWE Raw," and it wasn't just people online that didn't think it was necessary.

Viewers at home were subjected to a chorus of boos being piped in which ended up becoming so distracting that the promo Lesnar was cutting became hard to hear. However, this didn't appear to be how the live crowd was reacting, as can be seen in the below clip with the fans visible on camera. WWE has been piping in audio recently in an attempt to seemingly add more drama and story to storylines and matches, but this detracted from the segment even more, making the reaction feel even faker.

The piped-in noise was so over the top that many fans took to social media to mention it. The boos were constant throughout the entire segment which was an instant red flag to them being piped in and there are people within WWE that echoed their sentiment that fake crowd noise wasn't necessary.

nothing new. at this point i would wager WWe pipes in audio in more segments than they don't.

That Jacksonville crowd was awful, I would have tried to do something as well. It was a good show but that crowd was ass.

Why? Because they didn't cheer for who WWE wanted them to cheer for? That's why we have these boring and overly long title reigns like Roman and Bianca.

As I’ve previously stated about Dominick Mysterio, the noise manipulation and piped in noise is obvious, especially if you observe the audience in the background, which is where the noise would naturally come from. When the front row looks half asleep, it is completely obvious to a reasonable person that they are not cheering.

The Tribal Chief does not require such crowd enhancements and manipulation because he is who they actually came to see.

wwe are so insecure. Fan censorship and other petty shit like it is why they will never receive the mainstream sports validity and legitimacy that they so fervently desire.

I thought that as soon as I heard it. No chance were the that crowd giving Brock that much heat for doing the thing he’s done 1000 times before. It was far too OTT to be believable.
WWE should just go all in and resume a full pre-taped schedule. That would allow them more time to edit camera angles to avoid embarrassing spectacles like fans not reacting, and to better utilize fake noise. They could also better supplement with CGI if necessary.

Honestly I thought it was out of place, when I saw the video I couldn’t even hear what Lesnar was saying due to all that noise and it caught me off guard as usually crowds don’t mind or boo so heavy for Lesnar destroying anyone. If anything they usually chant “one more time” even if he is f5ing a top face .

It makes sense now lol
Glad I am not the only one who noticed how excessive it was.

Same lmfaooo pretty sad.
I thought it seemed pretty obvious. It was one long audible jeer that never seemed to change in volume, despite the fans all around ringside making no movement whatsoever, lol.
I mean it was freaking obvious. WWE piped in audio is VERY easy to spot. And they overdid it so much that it was hard to hear Brock as well.

Yeah they already messed up and muted one of their mics earlier in that same show so I figured Brock was yelling because no one could hear him lol
