WWE has reportedly resigned Sean 'Van Venis' Morley, according to indy promoters who have attempted to book him in recent weeks.

According to a source, WWE is supposedly flying Morley to Europe on 11/7 to join up with the RAW crew. He may be coming in as an agent/producer but we're not sure about that just yet.
He probably is coming in as a road agent or trainer. Maybe a trainer role for the new Tough Enough series. I loved him as Val and Cheif Morley back in the day. The guy was ace during 1998-2000 and definitely could've went on to bigger and better things. It all sort of went tits up for him after coming back from injury at the Rumble in 2002 as he floundered on shows such as Heat and Metal. WWE seemed to just give up on him after that. :(

He had great heat feuding with the Dudleys as Chief Morely. And I loved how everyone made fun of him to his face for his Val Venis character while he was Chief Morely.

FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES.

Val in the ring was actually an asset to the company. He was someone who could go out there and produce a passible match with near damn any wrestler on the planet. And he'd also make a good backstage guy as well because he knows how to work a match (watch some of his heat stuff, it was pretty much the same match every time because it worked every time), a gimmick and the mic. If he'd be willing to move to Florida/spend a hell of a lot of time there I'd send him to FCW as a trainer and onscreen persona (like Norman Smiley or Dusty Rhodes) Sure he'll never be a star but the buisness needs people like him.

To be honest I can't see WWE putting him in a TV slot anyway. His look has definitely deteriorated over the years with age (now approaching 40) and the fact substances aren't allowed anymore. He's still a top worker but I don't think there's much place for him anymore on the roster even if he was repackaged. He's perfect for a trainer position though.

Good to hear, I always liked Val Venis and thought he was underrated. His Chief Morley character was pretty good, it got him a fair bit of heat.

Just waiting for the rumors to start circulating that Val Venis is actually the Raw GM

Because nobody over 40 can maintain a good physique without steroids? He didn't seem to be too out of shape in TNA to my markish eyes.

This^

The move surprises me unless they plan on using him backstage. Even if the Val Venis porn star image could be made PG, this dude's look has deteriorated so bad he couldn't play the character with any type of credibility. And besides that one gimmick, not many people know who he even is. So I guess it's a backstage kind of role, which is good because I always thought he was a hell of a worker and if he could pass that on to new talent WWE will be better off.

Google Ron Jeremy. Dude's a fat, ugly hairy dude who's been in over 2000 porn films. Val could certainly continue to pull off a pornstar gimmick.

Great Talent, one of the top Rookies in 98. A shame it ended that way, still i like that he is again with WWE, we mgiht get to see one mroe Run, and if he was a Trainer, that wouldn't be bad to, he surely knows how to put a Match together.

The IWC started to hate him when he beat Daniels at Genesis..
Only idiots did that.
We didn't hate him, what we hated was the way they brought in a 38 year old former WWE jobber (he was by the end although he had potential earlier in his career) and put him over a guy who had main-evented 2 PPVs in a row prior to the start of the Hogan regime. Anyone would've got that hate in those circumstances, perhaps unfairly but wrestlers getting blamed for their booking is nothing new.

Meh, they will probably treat him similarly to what they did to D'Lo Brown. If it's backstage role or something like that then it's all good.
