Raw #1

New York City

The show starts as the Raw theme music plays away and the massive pyro display blasts through Madison Square Garden. 20 000 fans are standing on their feet cheering and anticipating to see who would walk out of the curtain.

JR: Hello ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to Monday night Raw, live from New York City. I’m JR alongside with Jerry “the King” Lawler. Vince McMahon promised “It All Begins Again.”

King: That’s right JR and what a show we have for you. Tonight you will see Gail Kim vs. Trish Stratus in a number one contender’s match for the Women’s Championship, as well as an 8-Man Battle Royal to determine the new Intercontinental Champion.

JR: Don’t forget, there will be a match to determine the new World Heavyweight Champion, but we are still yet to find out what type of match it will be and who participates.

*I’m Back*

Eric Bischoff’s music plays and he walks down the ramp heading for the ring. He has a huge smile on his face as he salutes the crowd.

Bischoff: Welcome to Eric Bischoff’s Monday night Raw. Tonight we’ll have a new World Heavyweight Champion. I have a great idea in mind. It’s going to be a ten man Turmoil match. It will be Booker T vs. Goldberg vs. Kane vs. The Rock vs. Ric Flair vs. Scott Steiner vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Sting vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Triple H!

As Evolution’s music plays Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, and Ric Flair make their way to the ring.

Triple H: Eric, it’s kind of pointless in having this little match of yours. Everyone in this arena knows that I should be the World Heavyweight Champion. After all, I am the Game – the best wrestler alive today.

Bischoff: You may be right about that, but I’m thinking about the ratings this main event will draw. But I’ll tell you what. You Triple H will be the last man in.

Triple H smiles as he is happy with what he hears.

*If you smell, what the Rock is cooking*

The crowd goes crazy as the Rock pops out of the curtain onto the stage with a microphone in his hand.

Rock: Finally, the Rock has come back to New York City. Triple H you think you’re the best wrestler alive today? Well it doesn’t matter what you think. The fact of the matter is the Rock is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. The Rock says you’re looking at the next World Heavyweight Champion. If you smell what the Rock is cooking.

The Rock and Triple H stare at each other as the cameras fade to commercials.

***Commercial Break***

JR: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen. Eric Bischoff has just made a huge announcement here tonight. Ten men will battle it out in a Turmoil match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

King: I can’t wait.

World Tag Team Championship
La Resistance vs. World’s Greatest Tag Team
Referee: Mike Chioda

Lillian: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Quebec City, at a combined weight of 480 lbs, Robert Conway and Sylvain Grenier, La Resistance! And their opponents at a combined weight of 487 lbs, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, the self-proclaimed World’s Greatest Tag Team!

The match starts with Shelton Benjamin and Robert Conway. Benjamin gets behind Conway and trips him down onto the mat. Benjamin attempts to apply a leg lock but is unsuccessful as Conway gets up. Conway delivers a kick the mid-section of Benjamin and grabs his neck to give the DDT. Conway pulls Benjamin to La Resistance’s corner and tags in Sylvain Grenier. Grenier kicks Benjamin while he’s down and then picks him up and Irish whips him into the rope followed by a clothesline. Grenier applies an arm bar on Shelton and tags in Conway. Shelton is stuck in the corner as Conway continues to deliver right hands to his head. Conway Irish whips Benjamin to the opposite corner and runs to him but Shelton ducks and delivers drop kick to the back on Conway. Shelton manages to tag in Charlie Haas but Conway is slow to get up. Haas kick Conway in the face and delivers a German suplex before locking in the Haas of Pain. Conway screams out in pain before reaching the bottom rope to force Haas to release the hold. Haas knocks Grenier off the apron and tags in Benjamin. Shelton looks for the super kick. Conway gets up turn around and gets a huge boot in his face as the World’s Greatest Tag Team picks up the victory.

Winners: World’s Greatest Tag Team

JR: A great performance by all four men. We’ll be back after this commercial break.

Number One Contender’s Match
Women’s Championship
Gail Kim vs. Trish Stratus
Referee: Jack Doan

Lillian: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is to determine the number one contender for the Women’s Championship. The winner will face Victoria next week to determine the new Women’s Champion. Introducing first, from South Korea, Gail Kim. And her opponent, from Toronto, Trish Stratus.

Trish throws some punches and takes down Gail Kim. Trish kicks Gail while she is down. She locks in a headlock but Gail counters and locks in a unique submission. Trish has no choice but to tap out.

Winner: Gail Kim

Intercontinental Championship
8-Man Battle Royal
Participants: Batista, Christian, Edge, John Cena, Ken Shamrock, Randy Orton, Rob Van Dam, Test
Referee: Tim White

Lillian: The following is the 8-Man Battle Royal for the Intercontinental Championship. A participant is eliminated when he is thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the ground. The last man standing in the ring will be declared the new Intercontinental Champion.

As all eight men stood in the ring Tim White called for the match to begin.

Each man goes after another. Batista has Edge in one corner and throws multiple punches. Christian begins to kick Rob Van Dam in the mid-section. Randy Orton and John Cena exchange right hands in the middle of the ring with Cena the getting the better of the two. Also, Ken Shamrock and Test go at it in another corner. All eight men give their best in the ring. Shamrock stands by the top rope and Test attempts a big boot but misses and lands on the top rope. Shamrock takes the advantage and eliminates Test easily. Ken Shamrock walks towards Christian and teams up with Rob Van Dam to eliminate “Captain Charisma.” Immediately Shamrock and RVD go at it. Edge nails Batista with a spear and knocks down the monster. Randy Orton hits the RKO on John Cena to knock out the “Doctor of Thuganomics.” The Legend Killer turns around and gets clotheslined by Edge and is eliminated. Batista delivers a double clothesline to knock out Edge and Cena. Batista picks up Cena and gives an earth shaking Sitout Powerbomb before throwing him over the top rope. He does the same to Edge as only three men remain in the match. Shamrock and RVD continue to attack each other but Batista runs and knocks the two competitors out of the ring to become the Intercontinental Champion for the first time.

Winner: Batista

World Heavyweight Championship
Turmoil Match
Participants: Booker T, Goldberg, Kane, Ric Flair, The Rock, Scott Steiner, Shawn Michaels, Sting, Stone Cold Steve Austin, & Triple H.
Referee: Earl Hebner

Lillian: Here is our main event for tonight, the Turmoil match to decide the new World Heavyweight Champion. The rules are as follows: two men start, when one match ends, the next participant will compete. This continues until one man is left and will be crowned the World Heavyweight Champion. In this match, falls may be scored via pin fall, submission, count out, or disqualification.

*Can You Dig It Sucka?*

Booker T makes his way to the ring and sets off the pyro.

Lillian: The first competitor is from Houston, Texas; weighing 250 lbs; Booker T. His opponent, hailing from San Antonio, Texas; weighing 225 lbs; the “Heart Break Kid” Shawn Michaels.

Shawn Michaels walks into the ramp and does his signature poses as he signals for the pyro. He walks up the steps and goes through the second rope and continues to pose.

Match 1: Booker T vs. Shawn Michaels

Earl Hebner calls for the bell and the match is officially under way. The two Texans lock up in the middle of the ring and both men appear equally strong until Booker T pushes Shawn Michaels down into the corner. Shawn Michaels quickly gets up and begins to unleash a fury of punches. Booker T is forced into the corner as H.B.K. attacks Booker’s chest will five chops. Shawn turns around and takes his eye off Booker T for a second but Booker capitalizes nailing three punches to H.B.K.’s head and a hard kick to his mid-section. Booker bounces off the ropes and attempts the scissors kick but H.B.K. moves out of the way and connects with the Sweet Chin Music for the 1…2…3.

Winner: Shawn Michaels

Match 2: Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair

The Nature Boy’s classic music hits but he attacks the Showstopper from behind rather than coming out of the back. Ric Flair delivers his signature knife edge chops but Shawn Michaels battles back with right fists. Finally Flair falls forward face first onto the mat. H.B.K. climbs to the tope rope and jumps off giving the Nature Boy a flying elbow drop. 1...2… and Natch kicks out. H.B.K. takes Ric Flair up but is caught with the Nature Boy’s thumb to the eye trick. Ric trips H.B.K. down and locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock as Shawn Michaels has no choice but to tap out to the painful submission hold.

Winner: Ric Flair

Lillian: Making his way to the ring… Sting!

Match 3: Ric Flair vs. Sting

Sting runs down the ramp way and slides into the ring. He throws his jacket and baseball bat to the outside, about to wrestle his first big match since the demise of WCW. Ric Flair is surprised and backs up into a corner, wanting to have nothing to do with his great rival Sting. The two have had great matches back in the days of NWA and WCW. Sting charges at Ric Flair hitting the Stinger Splash for the 1...2...3.

Winner: Sting

*Holla If You Hear Me*

The lights go off and all that can be seen are red sirens in the darkness.

Lillian: His opponent; from Detroit Michigan; weighing 255 lbs; “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner.

Match 4: Sting vs. Scott Steiner

Sting and Scott Steiner lock up in the middle of the ring but “Freakzilla” easily overpowers Sting and throws him into the corner. “Big Poppa Pump” kicks Sting in the stomach a few times followed by a couple of thunderous chops across Sting’s chest. Sting begins to fall forward but is caught by the “Big Bad Booty Daddy” and thrown into a huge belly-to-belly suplex. Steiner goes for the cover but only manages to get a two count as Sting gets his shoulder up. The “Genetic Freak” motions for the Steiner Recliner but fails as Sting locks in the Scorpion Death Lock. Scott Steiner refuses to tap out knowing that the World title is on the line but eventually passes out from the excruciating pain.

Winner: Sting

Fire explodes out of each of the four turnbuckles.

Lillian: About to enter the ring, he is the Big Red Machine, Kane.

Match 5: Sting vs. Kane

Kane immediately goes to work on Sting. The 326 pound monster connects with three lefts and a huge right, knocking down the legend. Kane runs off the ropes and elbows Sting getting a near fall. Kane picks up Sting and executes a spine chilling sidewalk slam. The “Big Red Machine” climbs to the top rope waiting for Sting to get up. Sting stands up and turns around to receive a huge flying clothesline. Again, Kane only manages to pick up a two count. He measures Sting, attempting a big boot to the face of Sting. Kane kicks but knocks out the referee instead as Sting ducks out of harm’s way. Sting slides out of the ring and grabs his silver baseball bat. He swings away at Kane’s back before finishing off the monster with the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting celebrates a successful in-ring return but Kane delivers a Chokeslam From Hell before leaving.

Winner: Sting

*If You Smell, What The Rock Is Cooking?*

Lillian: From Miami, Florida; weighing 275 lbs; The Rock.

The Rock enters the ring to a huge pop. He climbs up to each turnbuckle while Sting takes his time to regain his composure. Two of the biggest names in the wrestling business are set to go one on one. Sting stands on his feet but still feels a little shaky from Kane’s attack. Both men shake hands in the middle of the ring before grappling in the middle of the ring. The Rock hits Sting with six right hands and then Irish whips him to the corner where he connects with several kicks. The Rock Irish whips Sting into the ropes and follows with a clothesline. Sting staggers and gets a Rock Bottom. The “Brahma Bull” goes for the cover but gets two and a half. The Rock waits for the Stinger to get up, looking for another Rock Bottom. The Rock hears Rocky chants gradually filling up the arena. He walks towards Sting but becomes locked into a headlock. The “Great One” is slowly getting weak but he counters by elbowing the gut of Sting. The Rock bounces off the rope and connects with a spine buster. The Rock stands overtop of Sting, taking off his elbow pad and calls for the People’s Elbow. He runs off the ropes and connects for the three count.

Winner: The Rock

Goldberg’s music plays as he walks out from behind the curtain. He hits his signature three punches and a kick setting off a massive display of pyro before walking to the ring.

Lillian: Making his way to the ring; from Tulsa, Oklahoma; weighing 280 lbs; Goldberg.

Match 6: The Rock vs. Goldberg

Both men stare at each other confidently but the Rock was obviously exhausted from wrestling the legendary Sting. The two look at each other face to face talking about the last time they faced each other where Goldberg destroyed the “People’s Champ.” The Rock hits twelve right hands, doing his best to prevent history from repeating itself again. It seems that Goldberg isn’t affected by the punches as he knocks down the Rock with a clothesline. Goldberg picks up the Rock getting him into a military press, then dropping him onto his shoulders and hitting a powerslam. Goldberg calls for the spear and nails it as the Rock runs towards him. Goldberg kicks the Rock’s mid-section, getting him up into a Jackhammer.

Winner: Goldberg

*Glass Shatters*

Lillian: From Austin, Texas; weighing 252 lbs.; Stone Cold Steve Austin. He comes out and taunts the crowd. The “Rattlesnake” enters the ring and climbs up all four corners sticking up his middle fingers in the air, saluting the crowd.

Match 7: Goldberg vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Wrestling fans were about to see a fantasy match that they thought was not possible before today. Both men exchange right hands. Austin runs off the ropes and knocks down Goldberg, delivering straight punches to Goldberg’s head. Austin gets Goldberg up and Irish whips him into the ropes, knocking him out of the ring. Stone Cold throws Goldberg’s face into the ring post before throwing him into the ring steps. Goldberg slowly gets to his feet but gets the Stone Cold Stunner. Austin rolls into the ring to break the count. He stays there as “Da Man” is counted out.

Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin

*Time To Play The Game*

Lillian: Making his way to the ring, from Greenwich Connecticut, Triple H.

Match 8: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Triple H

The green lights flash and Triple H spits his water and does is signature poses.

The two superstars exchange punches in the middle of the ring. Eventually the “Game” is knocked down. Austin drives his knee into Triple H’s face followed by a series of punches to the head. Austin goes for the cover but only gets a two. He continues to kick Triple H. He picks up Triple H and throws him into the rope and attempts a clothesline but Triple H ducks and counters with a shoulder block. Triple H hits an elbow and gets a one count. Triple H Irish whips Austin into the corner and runs towards him but Austin moves out of the way and hits a stunner. Both men are laying on the mat as the referee begins the count. Austin is the first to get up and connects with a pedigree, mocking Triple H. The ref starts to count but Ric Flair interferes to break up the count. The “Nature Boy” has a sledgehammer and attacks Austin.

Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin

The “Nature Boy” has a sledgehammer and attacks Austin. Triple H gets up and joins in as Randy Orton and Batista come to assist their fellow Evolution members.

Cole: Did you here that Michael Hayes? The now plans to capture some gold.

Hayes: I sure did Michael Cole. I like their chances. The Outsiders dominated the tag team division in WCW and Hollywood Hulk Hogan has dominated the World title division in just about every big wrestling company. They’re the most powerful faction ever in the history of wrestling.

Cole: I don’t know about that.

Hayes: Don’t you remember how they controlled WCW?

Cole: Yeah I do, I guess maybe you’re right. But tonight, we’ll find out if the now can really live up to their promises.

Cole: That may be true but A.J. is the one with the belt.

Hayes: Whatever. Tomko will get what is his soon.

Cole: Now let’s go backstage where “Mean” Gene Okerlund interviews A.J. Styles again.

Backstage Area

Okerlund: Congratulations A.J. Styles on becoming the new U.S. Champion.

Styles: Thank you “Mean” Gene. I would just like to say, I told you so. I said I would win the title and now I have. I got rid of a Smackdown problem – I got rid of the thought of Tyson Tomko with the U.S. title. The fans don’t want to see Tomko with the title and neither do I. I did everyone a favour by claiming the U.S. belt. The fans know I deserve it. I mean, I’m the only person in history who has been TNA Champion, Tag Team Champion, and X Champion. I’m a legend compared to Tyson Tomko. But now that that is over, I’m going to celebrate.

Okerlund: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview.

We see the Undertaker, Paul Bearer, and the nWo heading to the ring.

I think that Mordaci should be in the US title division. But overall a good show, on Raw the matches were too short but it has a good roster. One question, Nitro doesn't have a very good roster or have a world title. It is kind of like heat or velocity.
