So, the WWE is having a bad luck on 2017 for what I've seen, first they boo hard to roman, etc. does this means that wwe is forced to go into attitude era or ruthless agression again?

I feel that maybe they will have to come back forced to attitude era or ruthless agression.

what do you think? do you think that WWE should do that? maybe in this year or 2018? or they should stay on WWE universe?

Leave your opinions guys!

Sorry if my english is bad. im spanish :(

With the way society is today and the current fans, it wouldn't go over well sadly as much as I would like it to, there would be too many complaints and outrage if the attitude era came back.

I hear this excuse all the time but aren't the most popular shows on TV edgy and not PG?? IE game of thrones, walking dead, etc

I don't see why wwe has to be PG when all these other shows arent and they thrive.

Wrestling has always had the kids market though. It is the heartbeat of the whole industry. In the 90s kids could watch stuff like the altitude era it was all good. Nowadays though no chance. Kids don't watch walking dead and game of thrones ect. Hell I know parents who don't let their kids watch this version of wwe because it is to violent lol.

No, they're returning to neither. Instead, WWE could try to deliver a compelling and entertaining product that may interest more fans in watching their shows.

That's because those shows are for adults and older teenagers where as wrestling is for everyone including children. Parents of today would not want their children watching something like the attitude era, too much controversy to be caused if it came back in my opinion.

The only way PG goes away is if a real competitor enters the American wrestling marketplace and immediately challenge WWE.

That's it. It's the only reason they changed 20 years ago and it's the only reason they would change now.

Well there lies the problem, doesn't it? Why would you cater to one audience(kids), when catering to a larger audience(18-50 males) would bring you much higher ratings and in theory higher profits?

What about having both ? You could have one brand i.e. Smackdown offering the softer kid friendly entertainment you see today and have Raw aired later on TV offering a more adult experience aimed at the older fans. God I miss the edgier side of WWE, it was much more fun.

High school students aren't even considered kids nowadays, they out here having sex and watching porn, so might as well include them with the larger audience lol.

The rating is not the problem it's the people in charges perception of what the rating means. Look at shows like justice League, batman beyond etc. They were kid friendly while producing an enjoyable cartoon for adults and it was pg

I don't see the company gong back to the Attitude Era nor the Ruthless Aggression Era because they are trying to make a new era in the company. I don't see any of that happening due to the times has changed.

They can do a combination of the current era mixed with the Ruthless Aggression Era rather seamlessly. They could do more mature storylines on the tv product (you could even do the more "mature" stuff in the last hour), and do TV-MA or TV-14 on The Network where there are filters and you need an adult's account to open.

They don't want to, though. The Network is the future, though, and they should do everything possible to get people to sign up there and retain their accounts. I believe this step would be huge towards that goal.
